Yeah, cool except with that definition, the 4 hour trip should have been made by now.

I might need to see a doctor for removal of the large amount of smoke up my behind.

Still nothing...Just the usual "any day now man, be patient, your car should be her soon, just a few more days, almost here"

Haha yea...well who knows when they picked up the cars from the plant. Just because it was released to the trucking company doesn't mean that it was immediately on the road towards the destination. Also, it sounds like trucks will stop at multiple dealers so it may be making pit stops along the way.

I ordered 10/5, if they couldn't find one to match my order that was already built, my God it should at least have cleared the factory by now and just be waiting on shipping.
I just watched an ultimate factories episode on the corvette FFS, car gets built in like 40hrs on the assembly line

I dunno man, I took almost 6 weeks for me to get a VIN...

If you ordered on 10/5 I would "think" you're in for a much longer wait until built / VIN.

No I agree getting a vin will take forever, because subaru's inventorying is done manually it seems, and folks get backed up and/or lazy there is a human element involved.

The actual construction of the car should be done by now though, whether or not the "system" reflects that and shows a VIN.

There are thousands of people still waiting on cars that have ordered long before you. If you ordered on 10/5 I wouldn't expect to see a car until at least December.

There will be nothing of value for them to tell you for at LEAST a month.

I would ask your dealer as opposed to calling SoA as well. They can run a "pipeline" request to see if your status has been updated.

Unless you have a dealer like mine that tells you "nope no updates, don't know why it's not here in the 6-8 week time frame we gave you". Only to find out from SOA that your order has been on hold for 8 weeks since you ordered.

I ordered a 2013 WRX Limited on Sept 22 and figured I would join this forum to see what critical things would need to taken care of when I finally got the car. I don't like what I'm seeing on this thread! I have received nothing yet about my order. I'm figuring VON stands for vehicle order notification and that you usually get one in about a week and then a VIN when production actually starts. I guess I'm going to have to pester the dealer! Don't like the ones who are saying 10 weeks and waiting

The long waits are for STi's or people who get navi.
VON = vehicle order number.
VIN issued once production is complete and it's shipping out of Japan.

VIN-O-MATIC BABY!!!

ETA is Nov. 2. Ordered around 9/4/12, SWP 5-door premium with a few options but no nav or STS.

My fancy has been sufficiently tickled.

I went ahead and got a quote from my insurance company and found out my STi will only be like 3 bucks more a month then my WRX was.

Yep, I screwed my self by getting both a STi and Nav.....I guess the plus for me is I have to wait even if me dealer gets it due to me being out of country until early Dec.

But if I get back to the states and the isn't a STi with my name on it waiting for me I will be pissed beyond belief.

I don't get what you mean. I ordered a base WRX with just a few options to keep the price down and will add some things after the break in period. I have always wanted a WRX and don't need an STI because I will be using this as my daily driver. Navigation is so expensive and I really don't need it. Base WRX's are tough to find where I live. The wait will be worth it in my opinion.

What I meant to say was it isn't too hard to find a base WRX unless of course you are in Idaho. You are right, the wait will be worth it! Good luck

Awesome day today! I was really starting to get thin on my patience because I ordered 8/30 and still just had "month of December" and no VIN, but today I got a VIN and I was also told that my scheduled date is 11/9, and my estimated arrival is 11/19. I'm not sure why there are two different dates but hey I'm super happy neither of them are in December and that progress is actually being made! I had actually tried to call another dealer today about a SWP they had on their lot but he wasn't in, and now I'm fine with that, I'll get my DGM with everything I wanted. Anyone else get their VIN today? Does getting a VIN mean the car's on a ship or that it has already hit port, or can no conclusion be drawn here?

Or doofus dealers quoting you 3k over msrp and saying that I couldn't pick the color, like the first dealer i went to, for an "in transit" car. Good thing I listened to that little voice in my head saying "run away, run away!"

I didn't even know you could pre order until I found this site.
