Default Anyone ever have this happen to their Lake county ccs pad?

So I detailed my 05 wrx wagon this weekend (11 hours total) and about 3/4 of the way through, the velcro backing on my orange pad started coming unglued. I stopped my pc, and there was smoke coming out from between the pad and the backing. This is only the second car I had used the pad on, and had washed it after the first detail.

Could washing it have caused the glue to come undone? My red pad was fine. No issues.

I am thinking about contacting autogeek and asking for a replacement. Seeing as how I have never had this issue before.

The velcro shouldn't really come off? How do you wash your pads? I usually scrape off using a blunt plastic edge, rinse out, and leave them overnight in a bucket of soapy water.

Washing could have caused it. Did you use any chemicals when u cleaned it? Its rare this happens but it does happen.
