The AMS car made like 489WHP/512WTQ on C16 at the shootout that looks like 11.81 124MPH your not going to pull an 11.01 with a 2.09 60'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5znb_pUfc4

I'm going to run my Spearco TMIC 30R on Q16 map this coming year at the 2009 Midwest Shootout. Should be right around 480WHP @ 29psi in that April weather. I'll more than likely add METH to the TMIC after that and then play around and run the METH TMIC/30R combo in the 2010 Shootout. After that I will more than likely go with FMIC and 35R.

I do not recall anyone running an 11.1 on an FPgreen at the shootout. Eddie & Paul both had FMIC one 30R on 35R there. the final shakedown run on that was Eddie 11.3 with 1.6 60'

I do not have the tires to make 10's but I am sure as hell going to get into the low 11's this year. I only run the 1/4 at the shootout.

I am on a Dom III and an APS TMIC. At 4500~ ft above sea level my car is quite capable of high 11's. I am in the process of doing a Aquamist Meth/Water setup, so 11's at this altitude should still be pretty dummy proof.

If you want pretty easy 10's, do a 35R and a FMIC. Otherwise you will need to strip weight out of the car and run very aggressive.

I'm sure if I took off my hood, ran a custom HUGE TMIC along with a HUGE Turbo I could run 9's. lol

Pretty easy is not a term I'd use - "possible", yes, but not "pretty easy." True 10's at full weight are very rare on this board, regardless of mods. A sub-11 second pass is flat cookin', and it takes a talented driver along with beaucoup, real horsepower, not a dyno queen. I've seen way too many "big power" GT35R timeslips in the high 11's/low 12's to think otherwise.

Umm if you running low 12s wit a 35r, not only could something be wrong with your car but you are nothing shy of a horrible driver!

same could be said about 13 second stage 2 stis. 2 people on this forum have run 11s, so 13s should never happen

I think I have seen threads with 35r cars only running like 16 psi for fear of breaking something, not enough injector, or whatever the reason, at 16 psi on pump its not gonna be very quick.

there are not a ton of good drivers on this forum that own the higher HP cars

I have 4 months to play with my car before pinks all out is here local again in april. I'm going to run a Top mount. right now Im thinking e85, or c16 plus meth dom4 or 35r maybe a 4088 wanting at least A 10.5. and I wanted to try that at full weight full interior ect. but anything faster than a 11.99 requires a 6 point cage, faster than a 10.99 requires full crash cage. that Im not wanting to do with my daily driver. so I think my 99sportwagon has just been sacrificed to be a full track whore.

It drops off after the 1320 pretty drastically. They said its pretty level until then. Its in Byron, IL the great thing is there are no BS cage rules only helmet. So that way no ones getting booted during the Shootout and its just an all day event.

I swear, everytime someone posts a drag video from the mid-west or some other place known for being full of meth head inbred retards, the track slopes up, down and has hills

Ams car went 11.3@124 on very bold stock tires. With some slicks and more seat time (first time at the track with that setup) it could go as fast as 10.90's.

Just a correction on that one there IHRA and NHRA require a 4 point cage with a drivers door bar under 11.49 and a 6 point cage under 9.99

11.5 or slower your good without one

It's like that around here too. Cecil County dragway is downhill.

in all my years on this earth i still dont understand how places that are 800 miles from the east coast and 2000 miles from the west coast are called the mid-west.....its always puzzled me.

must have come about when people had only gone as far as the mississippi or something like that....cause nowdays it makes absolutely no sense.

anyway.....back on topic.....i dont see why it would be impossible.....i mean the spearco is a 1000cfm intercooler, which is a higher flow rating than many of the fmic's people use. especially if its used in conjunction with meth or c16 then it should really be possible. but staying tmic with turbos that flow enough to make a 10 second pass just isnt common. I think there are only 3-4 people in the world in the 10's with a gt30......so we're basically looking for someone with a rotated gt35 or larger thats still running a tmic or someone with a stock location gt35 or FP Red thats got a crap load of weight reduction. People have gone 10's on stock location turbos so again its probably possible, but i think you'll be hard pressed to even find a car thats setup in one of the ways i listed.
