I saw someone mentioned some car shows in the area that are still going on. Can someone give me the details for the ones going on now? Where do you find out about them?

Might be ordering suspension today. The guys at Feal are making me a set of custom 441's for my ride height and weight. Any tips?

Nah not really. What weight did you give them? It's still hypothetical, no? If you didn't pick the spring rates hopefully they'll valve them so you can use a pretty wide range.

Anyone in need of a recaro baby seat? Wife and I have one that we used for a year then got a new set up for her truck. Figured I'd try here before Craigslist or donate. Looking for 100 would also trade for +15 wrx parts.

Late reply, but if you're still looking for a place and want to visit IAG ever, we have a flywheel grinder here lol

Isn’t IAG a few hundred miles from here? I ended up just buying a new one. At this point a few hundo is a drop in the bucket for this project

Hey guys I don't post on here often but I will throw this out there. I am putting my WRX up for sale soon.. it would make a great weekend car. It's a 2009 WRX I have owned for the past ~3 years and stock when I bought it.

I will be asking 13k for the car. It is not perfect condition but has some nice custom touches, especially on the interior.

2009 Subaru Impreza WRX Premium
98,000 on body, 58,000 on block/turbo, ~25,000 on trans
Inspection: 09/2018
Color: Silver

Most parts were installed by Moore Performance/Six Star and some were done by TPG Tuning. OEM parts were done by Subaru:

Current Modifications/ Repairs:
-OEM short block, turbo, supporting parts replaced at 40k miles
-Invidia N1 street catback
-Cobb AP V3
-Invidia catted downpipe
-Transmission rebuilt 2016 (andrewtech)
-ACT HDSS clutch 2016
-H&R lowering springs
-OEM steering rack replaced 2016
-OEM steering pump replaced 2016
-Firewall Spot Weld fix 2016
-OEM clutch fork replaced 2016/17
-OEM pedal assembly replaced 2016/17
-Alternator replaced 2016/17
-Air conditioning blower and pump replaced 2017

Non-performance extras:
-Wingless trunk lid
-2014 WRX wheels (sorry they are powder coated purple)
-windows tinted (including the windshield)
-WRX limited trim front and rear seats - swapped OEM seats
-Full size spare
-Triple gauge pillar pod (JCS pods)
-Prosport gauges (boost/EGT/oil pressure)
-Trim pieces hydrodipped
-Pioneer head unit
-Rockford Fosgate Power Series subwoofer
-Switch panel I made, not connected to anything yet
-Escort Passport Radar Detector

The bad:
-some interior trim is removed (I never got around to dynomatting it)
-minor interior flaws, nothing that affects the functionality of the car
-now has curb rash on 2 wheels. I have 2 extra wheels that are not powder coated to include, but also I got rid of the original spare since I use one of those 2 as a full size spare currently

If you think you would be interested then can you text me? I would love to sell this to someone who can appreciate the modifications and who will take care of it as opposed to an 18 year old who will beat it to death.

With spring around the corner, everyone must be itching to get the summer wheels back on. if you are thinking of going a different direction this season, I have a set of four four Wedsport SA-20R, 18x9.5, 5x114.3 bolt pattern, +38 wheel offset, black chrome color. Here is the link to the Craigslist posting https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/wt...528461544.html . I had these on my car for maybe 1000 miles before I was rear ended and insurance totaled the vehicle. I but my winter wheels and tires on and took these babies and hopefully someone else could enjoy them like I wanted.

Contact on the CL add.

Thanks

Been thinking though. If I were to race it, would I be in a stock unmodified class since I'm getting a new title based on the build?

Haha wishful thinking! Classing has nothing to do with the title. What type of "racing" are you thinking about doing? Most of (all?) the stock, street, unmodified classes in "sports car" organizations (SCCA, NASA, etc.) are based on production vehicles. Depending on what you plan on doing, you'll almost certainly always be in Special or Modified classes. For SCCA autocross for example, I think it goes straight to the catch-all class A Modified aka A Mod aka AM.

I’d say bring it out anyway. Where else can you *legally* and *safely* flog the thing? Push it to the limits in a safe environment so you can learn what it’ll do and you’ll have a metric $#!+ton of fun.

A road course! Where people will NOT be expecting a Subaru looking thing to be that fast! Being good at AutoX is like being really good at ballpits...

Awesome project though. Too bad you're using the atrocious Subaru suspension. Would've been better to use geometry from just about anything else. For example, pick a RWD suspension that puts power down really well. But, I wouldn't expect anything other than really narrow-minded thinking from you, so at least you're consistent.

Also, about spring rates...
You need to learn about the concept of 'ride frequency'.

The idea is to be a never ending kind of thing. Stock suspension works and it's one less thing to worry about come enhanced inspection time. The guys at Feal have my weights and I'll just let them worry about spring rates for me. I've put a lot more thought into not being killed on parkway when someone rear ends me, than I have about reinventing suspension

Besides, it's not completely stick, I lengthened and stiffened the trailing arms that apply the rear torque to the chassis

And being good at TNiA is like being really good at riding roller coasters. Personally, I want to be good at the whole amusement park. But 1st, ball pit. Seriously though, autox is just the cheap easy way to get accustomed to what a car will do. Lift-off oversteer will happen at 40 mph in a slalom and all you’ll hit is cones. Better than at 80 mph in T1 at PittRace where you could hit Armco, a tire wall, dig a tire and flip, etc...

It really wasn't built to be a track car. I mean it's a "truck". Just something fun to do in that garage. Motors straight out of the Forester, just happened to have 400+ whp
