Default WA: Tri Cities: 2008 Fully Built SPEC B 345WHP

Well i guess its time to sell my baby.

$15,000 OBO

TLDR Version

2008 Subaru Legacy GT SPEC B

345WHP

162k on chassis 50k on built engine.

Tons of work done.

all major modifications done by professionals.

Receipts for everything.

Only selling because i don't have a commute anymore.

I shopped and shopped for this car as these are RARE.

I am the second owner of this car.

Clean Carfax.

162xxx

Mostly highway miles. I know everyone says that but i used this car to commute to work and back 38 miles each way.

I bought this car with 68,000 and installed a COBB accessport and a stage 2 tune.

The car came with a Kartboy short shifter installed, a Turboxs Downpipe and Perrin Adjustable sway bars front and rear.

When the car had 110,000 miles on it it threw a code that the AVCS system had failed so i loaded it on a flatbed and hauled it to PRE Racing in Portland to get it diagnosed.

PRE informed me that the banjo bolt was clogged in the AVCS system due to a broken intake cam gear and that the engine failed a compression test due to a cracked ringland.

So it was time to build

$20,548 in reciepts

I have full reciepts for the build from PRE Racing.

I told them i wanted around 300WHP with plenty of room to grow. I said "Build it to handle whatever i decide to throw at it later but for now its a daily driver."

Dyno'd at 326WHP after the initial build and break in period.

I then decided i wanted a little more power so i returned to PRE and had an AEM Water/Methanol injection kit installed.

Dyno'd at 347WHP with 50/50 Water Methanol injection.

I drove the car in this state for about 2 more years when it started showing some hesitation so i took it to COBB Tuning Surgeline in portland and had them check it over. (I would have taken it to PRE but they are closed on saturdays and i couldnt get time off. Not a knock against PRE they are great knowledgeable guys)

Surgeline diagnosed the issue as a boost leak at the BOV so i had it replaced with a COBB XLE BPV. They said they dont like working with methanol but expected they could get around 350whp from the setup as it was so i had them disable the water/Methanol system and they were able to get 345WHP and 318ft/lb at 20PSI.

This is where the power is now.

This car has massive potential for more power or you could just drive it as it is now for many years to come.

Maintenance

I have always done all my own oil changes in this car Every 3000 miles like clockwork with REDLINE 5w/30 synthetic (Per the builders instructions)

The car uses around 1qt of oil every 1000 miles (as built subaru engines do)

I had a bad wheel bearing on the back end so i had them both replaced when i had the engine built.

Also had the rear differential flushed at the same time.

During the TAKATA airbag recalls i had the passenger airbag replaced by mccurley subaru.

Had a leaking CV axle so i replaced it myself.

ENGINE BUILD.

The engine was Bored/Honed/Blueprinted. Crank polished. Heads were polished and rebuilt.

ACL Rod Bearings.

ACL Main Bearings.

CP Forged STI Pistons.

Manley H Beam Rods.

All New gaskets and seals (Of course).

ARP Head Studs.

STI Oil Pump.

Tomei Head Gasket.

Gates Timing Belt Kit.

NGK One Step Colder Plugs.

Plus more assorted parts.

Total of engine build $7,167.75 Parts and labor.

PERFORMANCE MODS.

Deatchwerks 1000cc Injectors.

Deatchwerks 320LPH Fuel Pump.

TOMIOKA 20G-TD05 Turbo. (ported)

Grimmspeed Up-Pipe.

Tial 44mm External Wastegate.

COBB EBCS.

Crawford Air Oil Seperator.

COBB SF Intake.

TOMIOKA UEL Header.

Perrin Top Mount Intercooler.

TURBOXS BOV (Swapped later for a COBB XLE BPV)

GROUP N Motor Mounts.

GROUP N Transmission Mounts.

KILLER B Oil Pan/Pickup/Baffle.

Rallitek Aluminum Skid Plate.

Exedy STI Sport Clutch.

Exedy STI Lightened Flywheel.

AEM Water-Methanol Injection kit with 5 Gallon Tank. (Installed but currently not hooked up.)

Invidia q300 Catback.

Plus more.

INTERIOR

I removed the factory GPS Unit and installed an IPAD MINI in its place which will be included with the car. This works great if you tether to your phone as an infotainment system.

The stereo has a GROMM bluetooth unit for bluetooth audio and handsfree.

Speakers are Polk Audio DBS651 Front and rear with a Rockford Fosgate R250x4 amplifier under the passenger seat.

WHEELS/TIRES

DBA 4000 Brake Rotors and HAWK HPS Pads.

Wheels are Sparco Assetto Gara 18x8

Tires are Continental Extremecontact DW.

The wheels and tires in the pictures are my winter setup and will go with the car for the right price.

Cons:

It is a 10 year old car so there are some dents and dings on the outside. i would rate it 8/10

There is a baseball sized dent on the passengers fender. Most people dont notice it unless i point it out to them.

Some scratches on the front bumper.

Interior is also 8/10. no cracks in the leather. new floormats. its really a good interior.

The price is $17,500 OBO But i wont just give this car away. Make me an offer and we will go from there

I am selling becuase i got a transfer and no longer need to commute so far. i have too many vehicles and cant justify this one any more haha.

I will definitely miss this car but i want to see it in a good home.

Absolutely no mechanical problems that i know of. Car is sold as is where is but i wouldnt hesitate to hop in this beast and drive it anywhere.

Serious inquiry only.

No joyrides. If i don't think you're seriously interested in buying it then i wont allow you to test drive it.
