^^^^ I was waiting for that. All the ShamWow's do is scratch the paint, same with cotton towels

you can "flood" your car.

By slowley pooring water car, going top to bottom, you creata a pool of water that collects the small beeds then flows off the car.

If you do this correctly there should be almost no water on the car when you dry.

Then i use a Waffle drying towel

I use Belgian waffles, not quite as effective as the towels, but the ones left over are delicious.

This seems like the best way to me. I have a California water blade. It works good with removing water but I do think it scratches paint. If you look at it, theres always hair, shirt strings or something stuck to it, and you know that theres little particles of dirt and whatnot also stuck to the blade scratching your paint.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

+1 for the California Blade.

Then a leaf blower to get water out of the mirrors and bumpers.

Then hit it with microfiber towels.

omg nooo fail! that, if not used 100% perfectly can leave lots of clear coat scratches, esp on black!!

The Absorber FTW!

No, not FAIL.

As a detailer, I used the California water blade to whisk the water off the car. This being off freshly painted cars, even black, without leaving so much as a tiny swirl. Hell the chamois scratched more than the water blade did.

Its how you use it. If the surface is dry and you drag it across it? Yeah it's going to scratch, but if there is water, it should not unless it needs to be replaced.

I don't know what it is about microfibers, but I still would rather use a chamois. Maybe I don't know how to use a microfiber for drying a car off?

I don't like using the microfibers. It takes off all the 30+ stickers and magnets off my car when I dry it. So I stick with the water blade because they glide over my stickers and magnets... on my P.O.S. Sentra.

+1 for water blade on the Scooby for large smooth area and waxing every time.

^^^ if you dont like micofiber then you must like scratches. Waffle micorfiber drying towel is the only way to get water off your car, after pooling/flooding.

Letting water sit on your car to dry will create water spots. That might sound harmless enough, but if left on the paint long enough, water spots from hard water can eventually etch into your paint.

I have always used the Microfiber towels... One town does the job. Easy to wring out too.

Same here. After wiping down I open and close the doors and boot/bonnet a dozen times to get all water out and then go for a spin to make sure I got all the drippie drips!

Not if you have a thick coat of wax and carfully swipe the silicone blade. I would not advise th blade if the water is not beading on the paint.
