Yes, for a turbo of this size you need to do the airpump delete. You will need block off plates from KSTech and you will need to get your tuner to turn off some CEL's. If you want to remove all the components you need to pull the intake manifold, but you can leave the passenger side solenoid in place and still fit the turbo (barely). No idea if this all applies to the STi or not...
