Default Airbag Light - 06 WRX

Hey new to this forum.

Just purchased our first WRX 06 project car. Bought from salvage lot and almost done rebuilding it. Trying to get it road legal. Only thing left is to find and resolve why the airbag light is on. No bags deployed from accident. Had minor rear end damage. From what I've been reading 06 does not have the diagnosis connector like the older models, all through ODBC. Is there a way to read the codes (blinking airbag light) without a diagnostic computer?

From what I have been reading possible issues could be the clock spring, ABS or speed sensor and connections under the seats, and......? If I could read the codes I would have an easier time resolving.

Any suggestions? Couldn't find much on the 06 airbag issue.

Take it to a reputable shop. They can pull the codes using a scanner

Was able to get the codes read. Codes are 26 (passenger air bag failure), 2C (belt tension sensor failure), 27 (ODS connection error) and 37 (buckle switch right failure). Checked the drivers side pretensioner and it ohms out correctly. Took the seats off and cleaned up all the connectors and checked the belt lock on drivers side. All good. Looked up the codes in the repair manual and all point to the passenger seat sensor (OCM).
Do you recommend sending out the Airbag control module to have it reset along with the passenger seat sensor (OCM)?
