$68 s204 replica lip
Hi everyone,
I picked up my lip from Ebay, cost was around $68.00 shipped to my door. The lip was a bit deformed after being removed; however, all was well after letting it sit in the sun for 30 minutes or so. The finish was decent, but I painted the lip using the following steps: 1) Sand ends with 280 grit sand paper 2) Sand entire lip with 800 grit 3) Clean with alcohol 4) Paint with at least 4 coats of flat black bumper paint (autozone) The lip came out GREAT. Fitment was spot on using the included pack of mounting hardware. Installation was a cinch as well. No guessing was needed in regards to mounting position since there is 4 tabs that mount to the factory clips on the bumper.

I bought mine from http://myworld.ebay.com/supremepowerseller
It was bent in a few places when I opened up the box. I did the same thing as the OP... Just tossed it out in the sun. I left it on the deck for a couple days (im lazy) and when I finally had time to install it, the fit was great. This winter it got torn off my bumper. The only damage was the two inboard mounting tabs where I had BOLTED it to the bumper, got torn off. All of the pan head screws pulled through, but didnt damage anything. I was able to put it back on a few weeks ago by just putting washers on each of the panhead screws, and putting the two plastic push type clips back through my bumper. I would consider it very durable, especially when you consider that it was forcibly removed from my bumper at about 35mph! |

Nice! I'm thinking of picking up something like this sometime soon, thanks for the tip with the sun thing, I was reading that they bend the lip while shipping it, so I was worried about the fitment. Cheers!
