Question Another Cat thread: How many do you have, and which is your favorite?

Well, lets hear it.

Dog lovers need not reply (unless you have a Dachshund).

My wife and I have three.

Two black ones and a grey/"blue" one. The two black ones are domestics and the grey one is half Siamese, half Russian Blue.

The fat black one is Sushi, the skinny black one is Simon, and the grey one is Padma.

Sushi is my favorite because he was our first cat, and he sort of picked us. He stuck his paw out as we walked by in a pet store. He was a rescued cat and just chose us. We've been friends ever since.

Aaron

Wow, I consider myself up on cats and have never heard of that. What does he look like? He sounds interesting.

My wife and I want a Maine Coon or Norwegian Skogkatt (sort of the same as a Maine Coon - a big-ass cat that acts like a dog type of thing).

Well, you don't really.

I just added the last two for posterity. They're pretty much standard OT Poll options, even if they have nothing to do with the poll in which they are involved.

Yeah, please do. Does he have long or short hair? Is he big, or normal size (fat doesn't count)?

Mmm, yeah, I had a female tortoiseshell (sp???) Calico a long time ago that my best friend Bryon took for me. She was beautiful.

Man, I love cats. I agree w/ WarHawk, they are for sure my weakness.

^^ Holy carp.

I want one!..no..all three!

This is Lucky.

Oh, and that lamp she's perched next to has been glued back together 4 times. Every time we would go on vaction, the day we got back she would run by this lamp at high speed and shatter it. Without fail, every time.

She's not really fat..she's just well built. The nicest fighting Cat i've ever met/owned. I've raised her since she was a kitten (found inbetween two cinderblocks, her mother birthed her there and left her and her brothers.)
I love her to pieces, and back in the day she would take on anything that looked at her the wrong way, including my hand. She's still got a lot of fight left, but you can tell she's hitting that golden age where they start to relax and seem to love you more. Still super playfull though, and she sleeps on my chest EVERY night .

Now on the complete flipside:

That would be Casper. Got her from my brother and his wife after they "didn't want her anymore". She was declawed in the front before they bought her. She's one of the nicest cats in the world. She USED to play fetch, and bring whatever you threw back. Now she's just gotten lazy. She's so damn affectionate though. She's also a spaz. Freaks out at any noise louder than her own heartbeat. She once got a plastic bag stuck on her tail, and ran around the house at mach 10 with this "OH ****!!!" look on her face the entire time. My dad and I were crying we were laughing so hard.

I know I'm not supposed to pick favourites..but I'd have to go with lucky, as she sleeps with my every night, and gives Casper evil looks whenever Casper lays next to me.

Oh yeah, they both play with eachother ALL the time, and hearing cats growl never gets boring .

0, but when I own a house I want to get a Maine Coon.

Something about a 20lb cat is awesome.

HOLY ****!

That thing is HUGE!!!!!

Man, I LOVE those cats. I've been trying to talk my wife into letting me procure a Maine Coon for a while now. I'm not sure she's that into it though.

Our Norwegian Forest Cat, Napoleon,

He's awesome. 14 pounds. He'll hide from any and all strangers, but when he was a tiny kitten (no more than 12-14 wks) he climbed out from under my project car and started meowing at me. He was convered in grease, starving, and dehydrated. For about the first month after we took him in, he could be found at the water dish, like he was making up for lost time.

Here's our other two, also rescues.

Nikita

And Gypsy

We also have a rescued black Lab mix that was dumped at the mountain bike park at 13 wks, and a purebred yellow Lab.
