Exclamation Holy Cow! WRXs Everywhere!

At lunch, I saw:

Yellow WRX w/bra at intersection of 30th & GOG.
White WRX wagon at 30th & Centenial
Black WRX sedan south-east bound on Centenial, just past 30th.

This was all within a 5 mile radius. Wow.

Yeah, I have seen 3 different blue sedans like ours up in this part of town too. One of them has the STi exhaust (I think) and a spoiler - the other two don't have spoilers.

No exaggeration here - one of them was driven by a 70+ year old man! Big straw hat and everything. I wonder if he goes for late night rally drives in the mountains like I do!

Nobody is waving though geez...when I drive my landcruiser like 90% of folks wave at me. These new subie drivers are snobs!

Cool

Rexwell -

I was up in your neighborhood this last weekend. I have a blue sedan with a spoiler, BPM exhaust, Tein springs, and anthracite wheels. Oh, and of course, my dog hanging out the rear window getting bugs in her teeth.

Same thing here. I've seen two silver wagons, a black sedan, and even the elusive Sedona Red Pearl sedan. I even say a white 2.5RS today. That emblem isn't nearly as cool as the Gen 1 Impreza RS's, so watch your emblems. If you haven't debaged your baby yet they may do it for you, I hope not....

Diz,

I heard from Braden@SubySports about your BPM exhaust.... Have you got any sound clips of it in 'full purr'??? I'd love to hear it - can't make my mind up about getting one....

Any CEL's?

Mike.

Cool

If you want to meet up sometime, let me know. We could stop by Suby Sports. I have had CELs. However, that was because the O2 sensor bung was BEFORE the cat. The later versions of the center section have the bung after the cat. That should solve the problem. Cheers.

Unhappy Waving

Rexwell, I am wondering about the waving myself. I have only had one person wave back when passing by. I grew up with Corvettes and those drivers always waved. Are people just so damn busy that they do not look around or are they just rood? Or maybe I am running accrossed people that do not know what they are driving or don't care. Say it ain't so.

I've only had two people who have waved back at me in my rex. It seems like too many people are to into themselves to bother!

Cool

I always wave when I see someone in time. With road conjestion and dealing with traffic, it's sometimes hard to notice until it's too late. Wave anyway, if they don't see you or just don't wave, no problems.

Angry

I saw my first silver wagon on Hwy-36 going west today. He was so mad at being behind me (in the slow lane) and a truck going not much faster in the fast lane that he shot around me on the right (off ramp for the Flat Irons mall), sqeezed in between two cars directly infront of me and then shot over to the fast lane coming very close to hitting the concrete barrier. Lets just say that I was very impressed

NO Kidding. I saw you Diz on 30th. I just got done filling up with some 93. Then I saw that same yellow WRX on GOG and Centenniel. Then on the way home I pulled up behind the red WRX with ski rack and tint we waved. I don't know if you saw me wave at you?

I am starting to feel like a ... civic owner [heh]. Except a LOT better =). Hey I was wondering what kind of gas mileage people have been getting with the 93 octane stuff at 30th and Cent.?

I think it's just the addition of my EBC and my ... err ... continual hard accelerating/tweaking of it but recently I have only been getting like 120 miles per half tank or so. I think it's just the fact that I am running a little more boost plus my lead foot after the break in [heh].

So lets see. I have seen in Colorado SPrings alone:

-3 blue WRX sedans
-1 red WRX sedan
-2 yellow WRX sedans
-1 white WRX sedan
-1 blue WRX wagon
-ANd my black WRX

WOw...

Saw a nice looking Silverthorn RS on highway 7 up near I25 the other day. It had aftermarket springs, absolutely.
