Default Tribeca and VIP program?

Does anyone know if the Tribeca qualifies for the Subaru VIP program? Or is it left off the list as the STi is/was???

You should be able to buy Tribeca at or even below invoice price even w/o VIP program.

We picked up a Tribeca in June at $1200 off list, no battle, just stopped to get some details. Then they gave us a good deal on our trade in. Finance was not required as we paid it off with a home equity check. Hate to say it but I see more Porsche Cheyenne's here in NW Jersey then Tribecas. And our dealer is only 9 miles away. Lots of OB and Foresters, we've only seen two Tribecas so far in our Jersey trips. Two or three in boderline PA. I always see the Infinity 4WD, it's clone. A Tribeca is a rarity around here. Sales can't be good or even decent, I never see one excpet on the TV.

Default B9 sales

Actually, Tribeca sales have been over 2000 per month for the last three months, increasing slowly each month. Dec. figures are not in yet. Subaru is happy with Tribeca sales especially since gas prices slammed the SUV market hard. Subaru also lost sales because they could not meed demand on certain configurations, which are now available...such as 5 Pass with Nav.
However, many of these sales may be to loyal previous Subaru owners, so it remains to be seen if the Tribeca will continue to sell well. My feeling is that Subaru will add more power, tweak some features and cosmetics and probably succeed with it. They need an SUV in their lineup as well as a minivan.
In the mean time it's nice to own a car that I don't see every two minutes. There are WRX, Outbacks, Sports and even an SVX on my block...nice to have a car that's "new" and still getting compliments from the ladies!

I went and drove one today. 7 Pass Ltd. with the NAV. I talked to them about the VIP and they do it for the B9. However I've gotten so many new Scoobies at my dealer (this will be number 5) that he said he will just give me invoice price off the bat, no need to wait. I want just the DVD player and not the NAV system so they are looking for one for me tomorrow. We may get one before the year is out

Yes there is a good chance, now that mom lives near by, she does not drive, it's a little tight in the OB. Plus if we go anywhere and my kids want to take a friend it's not easy. No way do we want to put anyone under 12 in the front seat.

Kevin, I appreciate the offer that's very nice of you I've gotten 4 new Scoobies at my local dealer over the years and so far they have always treated me pretty good. Best part is they have what I consider a very good service department, competent and quite fair and they are 4 blocks away. I went in today to talk turkey and ended up having them get me from another local dealer a B9 limited 7 pass. in the colour I wanted (silver) equipped with the DVD and no NAV like I was looking for. I got it for invoice no questions asked and a good deal on my trade. I didn't really go through any salesman (although they seem to be low pressure there) but talked to the owner. They have some good financing going on now till the third I wanted to take advantage of. I take delivery tomorrow at noon I've asked Kastle to put a B9 Tirbeca forum on Scoobymods because I plan on installing some of the OEM Accessories in the future. I don't see me doing too many performance mods since it's my wife's ride. Those things are limited to my car which is fine w/ me

Dammit! I am SOOOOOO envious of you all! The dealership I go to has it on sale fully loaded right now for under $36,000, but I just can't afford to do it right now! I've been waitnig for this vehicle for years, but Subaru STILL has it priced too high for me! If they dropped MSRP and Invoice about 4 grand to start with, then we'll talk at he next sale!

I think 30-32 is about the magic number fully loaded for me to take the plunge, but until then...
