Default Umm, the weather has the suck

Dunno about the rest of you in the Southeast, but it feels like New England here. Cold, rainy, windy. Garbage. Now I have a house full of guests who were expecting a bonfire Friday or Saturday. Guess not.

It's awesome down here now.. Was sunny today.. it's 61 degrees outside, should be in the low 40's tonight.

(I don't know if it's just in my head but my car feels better in the colder weather)

Def not just in your head.... My car is a night and day difference in this cold weather. I think it's for every 10 degrees of ambient temp change there's a tenth of a second in the quater mile.

Weather is absolute crap here in Kinston. 40, rain, and wind is the worst.

Yup, I've been working in it all day. I fuel airliners at RDU airport and I must say, today sucked raw @$$... On top of that, my tires are about 1000 miles past dead. Good thing I have AWD.

Agree'd with cold weather feels refreshing. It does however remind me how much I hate New England winters. I can deal with the 60's during the day. Car feels great, no humidity.

I like the cold, but the rain and especially the wind are getting on my nerves.

Yea the FL guys don't reallize we're getting tropical storm type weather.. only with 40 degree temps instead of 80's and 90's Yesterday the wind chill was around 37 degree with 15mph sustained winds and pouring rain.

Yesterday's Precip (measured 00-00 UTC/Z) 2.35 inches

At least now it's only 10mph winds and pouring rain

We might in a few days. I think we are about to fire a guy on first shift. It sure is entertaining watching planes try to land in this stuff. I'm sure a lot of barf bags are being put to good use...

Hahaha, I wish I were flying ... but seriously, can you PM me some details of your job and what the duties would be? I worked on the weapon system of F-18's in the Marine Corps for about 3 years. Other than the weapon system work I have "Hot Braked" and been the safety supervisor during numerous launches. Never fueled the planes though, it wasn't my job. However, like I said, I do miss being around the aircraft. Eventhough I live a ways from the airport, I would definitly be interested in working there as long as the pay is good enough to offset the cost of fuel and help me pay my bills while in college ... Let me know man!!

Default after weathersuckage update

Got the roof man out there on Wednesday. 3200.00 in damage. I will be sending the estimate to my insurance company this morning and see if State Farm has my back or not.
Had a pretty nice bonfire on Saturday night.
Two gallons of Jagermeister gave their lives honorably.
