Default 02 to 06 front end swap and wiring question

So...my WRX goes in soon for some long awaited front end repairs, during the time its sat witha busted front end its gone through a built motor swap, tranny, and all sorts of wonderful things, but its still a sad sad wrx lol.

anyways: im currently running a set of JDM 02 headlights with hax'd wiring harneses. The front end will be having the bumper, fenders, and hood replaced. I was curious if anyone knows, or has experienced, how hard it would be to do an 06 front end conversion. Since the parts are available from subaru im not worried about cost or sourcing them, just mostly curious on the headlight wiring, and if the panels will bolt on the same as the 02 panels.

Theres a thread in this very forum about this. Its more work than just body panels, but can definitely be done. Wiring is apparently not that big of an issue.

and hopefully it wont be a problem, the inner fender on one side is being replaced along with bumper beam and most other panels, so ideally they should be able to replace what they need.

this is what i have done so far.

I put on the fenders and they seemed to align up pretty well as just a bolt on. I also put on the sliders, which attach to the front bottom portion of the fenders.

Now im kinda stuck on the corner brackets, this is the item that holds the head light in its place. This does like to bolt on to the stock side panel of the bug eye. so i order a new one off the 06 w/ a new upper tie bar.
originally i was going to just modify it but then i was thinking to myself that if i ever got in a accident then it would be harder to fix the car w/ all the modifications done to make the front bumper hold up.

Oh the front bumper beam had to be taken off it seems like it was in the way of the corner bracket.

but i did manage to get the fornt bumper on, just to see what it looks like.

I drlled out all the spot weld and started to mock up everything. lets just say on the sheet metal located on the sides, alot of it needed to be cut. The one off charge speeds website showing you need to cut the side is a joke.
After cutting everything i painted the exposed metal took measurements to make sure everthing is square and rivited the structural sheet metal pieces together. So far so good. I will try and send some pics soon. let just say its not for the faint hearted.
for testing t make sure everything fits i bolt the fender and the bumper. Lets just say it came out better than what i had originally expected, 100% exact fit.
Bolted the fender

So i got my hood and its looks all good it ligned up w/ no problems, but i noticed a gap between the top of the side fenders and the hood. i careful exzamined the fenders and noticed the place i rivited the radiator support did quite line up that the tip of the fender closer to the head lights is alittle lower. so now i had to take out the rivits and modify the fender bracing so that the radiator support sits alittle lower.

anyhow here are some of the pics of my progress.

Here is where i need to cut lot.

well the tail light doesnt fit 100%. you first need to cut the bumper alittle to get the rounded part in. there is a small gap between the tail lights and the car.

But its pretty damn close
