I agree 100%, it should be required in the for sale topic.

Another thing... if someone is going to say PICK UP ONLY, then it belongs in their regional Classifieds forum

Partly true, but...

Not necessarily, since a lot of people including myself and a some friends I know prefer to browse primarily the general For Sale classifieds. There is more traffic in the general section, hence a more desirable arena for a seller to post his/her items.

If an ad doesn't apply to your area due to pickup preference, simply ignore and move on.

Awesome that someone suggested this. I always hate how so many people provide no location and leave everyone guessing.

I agree that your general location should be in your profile. But I disagree on any policy forcing the location to be in the topic. It adds clutter to an already crowded screen, and is redundant if the location is in the profile.

Disagree. It's only 4 characters counting a space previous and post state.

I PURPOSEFULLY leave my location out of my profile for nefarious purposes. Nefarious referring to SOA because of them denying legit warranty claims, not me being nefarious.

I'll post the state in a topic as that's a much larger area for SOA to narrow down.
