Default Why does my car pull to the left and also is it dangerous?

So recently I just replaced my tie-rod for my 05 sti because i got into a accident where i hit the front left driver side. I drove it around the block and i notice it pulls to the left a bit when i let go of the wheel. I also notice my camber is a little positive. My friend looked at the suspension everything seemed fine. So now i need to take it to the alignment shop. Would it be safe if i drive fast, say 60mph? The alignment shop is about 30 miles away.....

Also why do u guys think it pulls to the left? is it the tie rod ? or maybe the lower control arm? The camber does seem a little positive..

i wouldn't really dog it but you should be fine just cruising there, were they adjustable tie rods?

are you sure the accident didnt bend something else? Hub? A-arm? mounting bolts, etc?

You may want to inspect it very closley and compare it to the other side (if it didnt get hit as well) take some measurements and such...

The pull could also be tire pressure OR Toe out/in based on your ability to allign the car when you replaced the tie rod end.

yea just take it to hae it aligned, if it was a adjustable then you might be toe'd out a little which would cause the car to pull also. Any time adjustments are made to suspension its a good rule of thumb to get it realigned, its a pain in the ass but it helps even if your going back to OEM. Take it from me shims fall out things compress and just about anything can happen when you take that crap apart.

1. have it aligned.
2. check your tire pressure and make sure each side is even.

^^^

Road crowning will cause his car to pull to the right. Assuming he lives in the United States and isnt driving on the wrong side of the road everywhere...

OP: You'll be fine, just be aware of the way the car pulls. Tires will also wear more quickly but that generally takes thousands of miles...
