Default Girlfriend approved spring rates for 07 WRX (BC Coils)?

Hi all,

First I want to apologize if I'm asking the same redundant newb question here. I've tried to search but I wasn't able to nail down what I hope is a straight forward question.

Just bought my first subie a 07 WRX Wagon. It came with BC coils and get this, 16kg swift springs? I've driven cars with coilovers but never in my life I've felt this kind of stiffness. Drove it around 350miles to get it back home and I swear I was getting air time whether on the st or highway!

Wasn't sure if this is normal but I've read people talking about 8kg/10kg for tracking. 16kg must be ridiculous then.

The previous owner probably did this because he was riding really really low. I was a mechanic before and feel comfortable swapping the springs. Is there a generally accepted kg rating and GF approved for daily driving an 07 WRX wagon?

I won't be tracking this car ever and I'll be DD in the Bay Area. I've been reading too soft or too hard for 6kg/7kg... Is that what I'm looking for?

Is there a general kg recommendation I should shoot for? I plan on calling local suspension tuners and will need their help with sourcing springs. After some research I've been getting confused with the spring length and ID measurements. I'll probably need a pro to help.
