Thumbs down "Tuner" to avoid - in the NJ/NY/PA area

Like Dave Chapelle/Rick James, I wish I had extra hands so I could give more thumbs down.

Arrrgh cant attach a PDF file. Oh Well.

Oh, and this person is (was ?) both a Vendor and Moderator. Conflict of Interest ? Hrmmmmmm

More details to emerge later this week.

Thats sucks and all, but who is stupid enough to go back to a place after the install wasa screwed up 10 times all ready. I gave up on one place after time #1.

Nobody deserves this treatment at all, but if you are thick enough to keep going back you are asking for trouble.

If I was reading this for someone else's situation, I would probably be thinking/writing the same thing.

A lot of revealing details have been left out of this version of the story. Suffice to say, this is a person who was supposed to be a friend, some of these problems didnt emerge until after the fact, and as an adult, I do believe in letting people try to correct their mistakes on their own dime, before I start paying others to correct them. This person supposedly has numerous satisfied customers, it just so happens that Im not one of them.

Oh, and the name/details will most likely posted on Friday.

Thanks

Check the first post in the linked thread for the identity of "Vendor X"

Since then Im told he has lost both Vendor and Moderator status

As for resolution, check out around late Page 3 - a REAL shop has stepped up to the plate with an incredible offer !

Plus, with over 300 views of the PDF file, hopefully no-one will ever go to this [detail removed] again for anything.

Dude, I feel your pain. Thanks for sharing the lesson learned. But, caveat emptor!!! Stage IV is serious tuning. Iíve seen this time and time again in performance motorcycles, gunsmithing, and bike building. Everyone is an expert, until something goes wrong. I know he was suppose to be a freind, but the guys who *donít* work out of their garage cost more for a reason!

Good luck,
N
