Post Stance Coilovers Review

I will be editing this thread set by step.

I order my Stance Coilovers from Earl at Touge Factory last Week and I recieved my package today From Stance.

I choose Stance over alot of other brand coils because i wanted something in the price range of 1000-1600. I wanted a race and performance setup taht i could track and DD my car everyday.A fter talking to Earl and reading his review and jorunal. And not seeing anybody using stance i had to give stance a try. I compared the coils to the tein flex, bc racing and other in that price range and found that the stance had a little more ump to it. 15-Way Damping Adjustable Adjustable Camber Uppermount, Pillowball Uppermount, Cold Wound Linear Spring, Inverted Monotube Shocks, Dustboot,Aluminum Collars & Upper Mounts ,Height Adjustable Lower Bracket. its was what i needed. Im not hateing on other brands. I just like the history of Stance since im a nissan/honda guy back in the day. Lets cut to the chase

When i first opened the box, the first thing I noticed was how everything is all packed in seprate boxes unlikes others where they put in 4 coils in one box. The second thing i notice was how the coilovers were beefy. Brackets were nice and thick and the shock body was huge. The shocks dia is big. The quality of the suspension looked good unlike other chinese models/ high end model. I was missing the spanner wrench and a t-shirt but Earl got me cover.(must of left out when i got custom springs)

11-15-08 Today i got my coils installed it was a PITA the whole left side hub bolts didnt go easy as it did on the right side which went in nicly. The left side it had to be force in. It looks like when it was welded it was off a little bit. Took about 4 hours to do 4 coils. Thats how long it took. We didnt ADJ any ride height cause i though it was low enough. we might have to lower it a little more for a nice flush stance when i let the springs settle in. All my camber is set at zero. while driving home(1.5 hour trip) it felt good. the car handle good and the ride quality was good. way better then stock. I will have more pics and info this week when i get it settle in and align.

Update: i got a squeak in the right rear hope to fix it today

When you put them on, can you take a picture of the car's ride height, and then how much clearance there is between the dampening adjuster at the bottom of the strut and the CV boot?

I would also like to know this.
I'm starting to think these or BCs.

Edit: They cost $1429 for the GR+ series.

Thats MSRP. As with everything, if you shop around, you can get it less.

I paid basically what a set of BC Inverted with Rear Camber plates would be, maybe less, and I got helper springs.

Trying to decide between these and KW variant 1s.. glad to hear that the ride quality is good, as that's my major concern about getting something other than the KW's..

Earl's customer service is great. He answered my endless questions before and after my install awhile back.

I'm on tein ss' right now...they're alright. They aren't threaded all the way down is my biggest hate on them. I'm definitely thinking of stance in the springtime, the rear adjustable camber plate is a big plus too, how much camber do you think they could provide? camber bolts suck.
Whats the spring rate on your custom springs?

The rear can get upwards of -4.5 degrees of camber. More than you'll ever want or need.

Stance FTW!!

Got my coilovers installed last week and so far I'm in love. They are such and upgrade over my springs it's unbelievable. Shipping was fast and dealing with Earl was so easy.

I definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking.

Mine are Stance GR+ 8k/6k.

Also, if anyone wants a more detailed review or answers to a more specific question let me know.

Just wondering why you chose 8/6k spring rates?
