Question Good areas/apartments in Fort Worth?

Hey guys,

So I just moved up here with a new job and all and I am staying with some family friends for the time being and am looking for a apartment.
I have no clue what the areas/city is and since I work all day and unfortunately am going out of town the next couples weekends, I don't have much time to explore.
I basically would like some input on the good areas and apartment complexes.
Quick Info:
*I work in North FW (off of 820 and Meachum), willing to drive though
*Price range is no more than $750
*I am 23 so I would like a young "hip" area, perferably with bar life

Any info is helpful because I really have no idea. If you can, tell the bad areas to stay away too.

thanks and hopefully I can get into the DFW TXIC scene.

~A

the "hip" area is near TCU baby! come on down to the south side of the city...TCU area is only 2 minutes freeway time from the city, if that. there are plenty of apartments around here that are all in basically good areas. Also you'll know about some sick parties that are happening here.

Cruise up North Beach, there are alot of nice newer apt. complexes that are always giving great deals because there is alot of competition. Also, these apts. are probably about 5 minutes from where you work. I pay around $600 for my one bedroom with covered parking, fitness center and all of that jazz.

thanks guys.
I was looking at some apts. near I-30, just outside the loop on Randol Mill Road...but I hear this area is getting ghetto...does anyone know anything?

I would love to live in the TCU area...I just have no idea what streets ad stuff are there so I can compare apts. Can you give me street names?

I would have to agree with the recommendations of the areas right around downtown and also around TCU.

Make sure you check out my company http://www.freerentmoney.com. I pay you $200-$500 when you move if you list my company on the lease application.

Get an apartment finder map out apartments within your budget range & area.

Then drive around on the weekend into several apartment complexes.

Don't trust pics from Apartment searches website.
They are manipulated to attract tenants.
You can "feel" if you are in ghetto apartments.

Look around the model of cars in the apartments, the nicer models then more likely the nicer the neighbors.

Take your time finding one as you will live there at least 6 months or more.

Once you like certain area and an apartment don't forget to use:
http://www.freerentmoney.com to get cash back

I know my post does not really help but good luck again.

One more quick note: The area around downtown is more of a yuppie croud, whereas the area around TCU is going to be a little more laid back and eccelctic since it is more of a student community.

Also, even though the Ft. Worth downtown is nice and pretty clean, it is still a downtwon area and will not be as safe as the area around campus.

In the TCU area the main streets there are Berry St. and University. There's alot of places in that area and hell you might be able to rent out a house or a duplex as well.

If you want to be close to work as already mentioned there are alot of places off of Western Center Blvd. Also there are some apartments in Haltom City area as well that are near N. Beach.
