Default how long does it take for money order to get to the seller?

I'm buying some JDM tail lights from someone and I just want to know how long it usually takes for the money order to get to the seller?

What do I do if **** happens? Besides me flying there and kicking their ass if they bull**** me.

As others have said....hopefully you didn't just mail it to them in an envelope. They got this new thing called Paypal...much quicker.

I'll be getting warning points for this for sure. But this is the stupidest question I've ever seen on these boards.

Not stupid IMO. When I DID send MO's, I sent them overnight. Costs about $13.60 last time I sent one. I'm not going to do it anymore, check or person to person FTW.

i don't think it's quite as bad as sending cash.
i have sent a number of MO's in a regular stamped envelope w/ no problem.
of course, it was for pretty small amounts and not to the the incredible pack of scammers who lurk on this site! (joke, mostly)

if it goes sour, you may have recourse through the PO.
because i think that would be 'mail fraud' and that is still a crime

good luck.

in answer to your question - about the same time a letter to the same address would.
a few days, a week or so, depending on your location & theirs.

Since you can now get "delivery confirmation" on USPS Priority Mail items, not just on Express Mail items, that can be a cheaper route to go for proof of mailing and proof of delivery -- just use one of the flat-rate document envelopes and make sure you get a big delivery confirmation barcode on it.

Yeah, it all depends on your location and the seller's location. If you just plopped it in an envelope and sent it on its way, it will take as long as any other first class letter. You should have at least gotten delivery confirmation, that way you know it made it to the seller safe and sound. If you know he's legit and won't try and screw you, then I don't think you should have a problem.
