Default How do you replace the front parking lights?

I've searched for this & can't seem to find it. I bought white LEDs to replace the front parking lights with but it's a wicked pain in the a** to get access to the bulbs to replace them. There is very little space on each side to get my hand in there to twist the bulb. If you've replaced these bulbs before please share any tips on how you gained access to the bulbs. Thanks in advance!

Never mind. Did it today, biggest PIA ever. I wouldn't recommend it.

When you turn your headlights on the first click. The front at the very top of the head light (not on side).

I'd love to know how to change them too. Asked this a while ago, no one gave me an answer. I can't even get my hands into the corners

Ok then I'll tell ya. I was kinda disappointed with no responses myself. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to twist the bulbs to get them out & pull the socket out to get at the bulb. Once the bulb is replaced getting it back in is the hardest part. Since I ended up dropping the frigin bulb in the engine bay I had to search for it. I ended up having to take off 4 pop clips to get my hand into the engine bay. I took off the pop clip that is to the left of the drivers side wheel which is the main pop clip that holds the under cover (that keeps water out of the engine bay). Then 3 clips that are under the cover (between wheel and front of car underneath). I got my hand under there and found the bulb but also found that it was much easier to twist the bulb back into place. Twisted the socket back into place and was done.

I know my descriptions weren't the best but if you have any questions let me know and I'll help you out. The project sucked, mostly because I dropped the bulb and had to search for it but the bulbs I put in look amazing. I'm really happy with the outcome. The stock yellow looking bulbs look crappy with hids. Best of luck!

The accent bulbs at the top of your headlights? They are in a really tight spot.

You did yours when you were retrofitting? I ordered mine afterwards and they are still sitting in my drawer waiting to be installed.

Yeah. It was a real pain but it was worth it. The bulbs that I got look great.

I'm confused but if you did yours while retrofitting it would of been easy; since, your headlights are already out. Did you swap the other halogen bulbs to SMD LEDs after?

What size bulb did you use?

I'm definitely gonna try it, because I too have HIDs, and it looks terrible with the stock yellow bulb.

I was confused by your question at first as well which is why you were confused by my response. I didn't have the headlights completely out, this is why it was such a project. I replaced the bulbs with the headlights still in place.

The only lights that I've replaced are the parking lights, the low beam with 6k hids & the fog light bulbs to yellow H1 bulbs.

The bulbs are size 168. Below is the exact pair that I bought. I highly recommend them. They're bright & fill out the "eye brow" of the lens shape much more than the stock bulbs. They also match the 6000k HIDs very well.

Sorry for the confusion it makes sense now, I plan to swap them out when I retrofit my fog light projectors (I can't seem to access them at all otherwise). The parking lights are the uppermost socket? So far you have only replaced bulbs in the front, you left the taillights as is?

I got these, I replaced the rear parking lights and hatch light with them.

Yeah the parking light sockets are at the very top of the headlight assembly. Yeah I'll leave the tails as is. I'm happy with what I've done and won't be doing anymore mods that I can foresee in the future, bulb wise at least.

Okay thanks, I will attempt this when I have time on the weekend. Now that I come to think of it, I might have went a bit overboard with replacing the halogen bulbs with LEDs.
