Default what do you do with the spare tire?

For those who have aftermarket wheels on our 4wd subys, especially those that are larger/wider than stock, how do you guys handle the spare tire and matching it? Do you get an identical tire? That wont fit into the spare tire wheel well. Do you get a larger spare tire of the same diameter? other ideas?

Are your new wheels & tires just wider? Or wider w/ a lot taller tires?

Circumference is what counts in matching the spare tire to your others; it's already a ton narrower than the stockers. Most "plus" sizes that people run are pretty close in circumference to the OEM, so unless you're deviating from that, don't worry about it, just run the space saver spare if needed.

what is that allowed tolerance between aftermarket tires that are larger in circumference vs the spare? Judging by the wheel fitment checkers online, aftermarket tires Im getting are only a 2mm larger difference (but this also varies from manufacturer to manufacturer right?). 225/55r17 is stock, 225/50r18 is the aftermarket. I just dont want to mess up the 4wd or anything if im not able to get a replacement tire fast enough.
