I was runner up (had 4 advisors with %100) and the first place guy (had one more survey than I did) could not make it.

Sooooooo Chicago here I come!

I will probably give the tickets to the father in-law and spend the day at the field museum instead

Just so everyone knows, Mastro now has two locations; Tampa & Orlando (Sanford).

You can see me in Service at the Tampa location....or rexygirl in Service at the Orlando (Sanford) location!

Default Need new place to service my car...

I live in Melbourne, FL and take my car to the Palm Bay Subaru dealer. For awhile now, I have not been able to put more than 8 or 9 gallons of gas into my car. It never fills all the way up and I barely get 200 miles to a tank of gas and I baby it. My car has been to Palm Bay Subaru three times for this problem and everytime they attemp to fix it it never is fixed. My A/C also clunks and groans and my car idles rough. More than the famous Subie Shake they talk about should.

I am willing to take my 04 STI to Orlando for service, but its not easy getting over there on weekdays. Are any of the dealers open for service on the weekends?

I am sick of Palm Bay Ford... er I mean Subaru... they are a Subaru dealer right?

We are in Sanford, and will probably be closer than the other dealerships.

We are here on Saturdays from 8-12, but you need to make an appointment because we book up quick

lets see i dealt with 5 dealers while shopping for my Subaru. I started out wanting a '10 legacy GT but when they finally arrived on the lots i decided it was just too big of a car for my liking. So then I moved on to wanting a WRX hatch but there werent any '09s in the state and it took months for the '10 WRX's to make it to the lots that i found an '08 new STI. But here are my shopping reviews...Mastro orlando and tampa were by far the most knowledgable...CC in orlando was the best sales person i had. The Store managers at both were Great. Fitzgerald Subaru was very easy to deal with. Bert smith...ugh-not very helpful...it was the first place i went since its up the street from my house and i went to look at a WRX sedan they had listed but it had just sold. anyways while i was there i saw a late model BMW that i wanted to test drive but salesman said that he didnt have time for a test drives if i wasnt serious about the car. kinda crazy since Bert has a BMW dealer across the street. but whatever...and now for the bane of my car buying existence...Delray motors...I got a decent deal on my STI dont get me wrong but ever since the beginning of my negotiations its been truly painful. And then i found micro scratches in my paint and i reported them 7days after purchase...lets just say their only solution was to bring the car to delray (4hrs away) or buy special $70 zymol...needless to say after fighting with them for a month i went ahead and contacted SoA dealer services and they are investigating. stay tuned for the exciting or painful ending.

I forgot to come back and give an outcome...so after a month of bickering and calling the GM at DelRay I talked to SoA and they quickly paid for the Detailing of my car and apologized to me for my inconvience...it was a whopping $115 and all the scratches were gone...amazing a frigging dealer as large as DelRay Motors was unwilling to pay $115 after i bought a new $30K car from them. Deffinitely avoid them at all Costs!

Thats so funny. i made an offer on that car. they are truly the worst dealer ever! Im not sure what sales person you used but "debra" was my sales lady, she had no idea what an sti was. and i actually test drove the black sti. I remember there were scratches in almost all of the door handles and other imperfections all around the car. DelRay= worst subaru dealer ever. but im glad for you that you got a deal on that sti

Their service department and parts department on the other hand is great.

I initially dealt with Deb and the head of Internet there (who was a real douche) and finally said screw it and started emailing all of the different sales people there until i got a reply. needless to say I finally got a reply and had a sales person online that was willing to work a deal. And youre right none of them have even a slight clue about subaru.

The whole scratch thing...yeah i think i figured out how they masked that. They used zymol ebony and carbon wax on it to mask the scratches and then when i washed and waxed it myself they became very apparent. Needless to say they suck.

No see about 7days after i got the black STI home i washed and waxed the car and thats when i found all of the scratches and such. Well after finding them i contacted the dealer about the problem and they said they would never sell a car with these problems and that i would need to drive back to Boca (4hrs) to have them look it over. It took multiple emails and calls just to get to this point. So being unhappy with that solution I went ahead contacted the GM of Delray and he said he had been informed and that i needed to drive back down. So the GM said if i cant get back down to Boca i should go out and buy Zymol carbon or Ebony to fix the problems. When he mentioned this i knew what they had done. They had used this type of wax to hide the flaws. They knew when i was scheduled to be there. So they had time to "prep" the car. I would never have left the lot had i seen those flaws in the paint. And they were very evident once i used a cleaner wax on the car.

I mean heck All i wanted was a paint detail to get the scratches removed and all they had to do was offer to reimburse me or Mastro Subie in Tampa and all would have been well. (Oh and this ended up costing $115.) It was the least they could do since i had just bought a new 30K car from them. But no they wouldnt. So then i contacted SoA and said make this right...So they contacted Delray and Delray once again said i needed to drive to Boca because they didnt believe they were responsible and that they werent going to pay another dealer to fix this. Thankfully SoA stepped up and paid for the detail. So After reading your post it just confirmed my suspicions and i wanted to let the SoA Service rep know that someone else had seen the car with the scratches i was reporting. Basically saying see i told you it wasnt me and letting him know that Delray isnt the most trustworthy subaru dealer. And if other people contact SoA with problems they should not be surprised.

I cant believe they wouldnt pay for it. they already have a terrible rep with the local subaru community. Like 115$!? they wouldnt pay for it?! thats BS!! and to go make SAO pay for it just shows SAO how cheap this dealer is. fortunately i believe that the subaru portion of the dealer is going out but service will remain there.

WHAT A BIG JOKE!!! Delray subaru has obtained the Stellar Performer Dealer Certification from SoA. Holy Crap! So i see this certification means absolutely nothing. Just read the above posts.

Below is what the Stellar Pref means:

New or used, buying or leasing, parts or service, a Stellar Performer Certified Dealership sets a new standard in Customer Service. The goal is an exceptional dealer experience with every visit and a customer who is satisfied with the service provided.

Dealerships must adhere to a rigorous review of their operations by an impartial third party and fulfill our established standards to qualify for this distinction. This process ensures that the dealers achieve high measurable results in the eyes of their customers.

When you visit a Stellar Performer Certified dealership, you can be assured you'll receive the best customer care possible!

I almost wet myself reading this...this is some funny stuff. if i were another dealer that already had this Cert i would be Pi$$ed off.

FitzGerald Subaru in Clearwater, FL is the worst. I went there and nothing but high pressure, overpriced tactics for trying to get me to buy a 2010 clearance model for higher then a 2011 price.

Then Mastro in Tampa, the same issue. High tactics with a saleslady who knew nothing about subaru, asked her some pretty typical questions regarding the outback/impreza and she went on about something so different.

The parts department guy in Fitzgerald is also quite rude, has no idea what a number of parts are displays a general amount if ignorance, which is really sad. Not to mention he is right around the age of retirement, and requires many things to be said two to three times for him to understand and to write part numbers in bigger fonts.

*sigh* The only good dealer I've seen in my area is Bert Smith. I would only go to them.

Actually while searching for a WRX last September I stopped by Bert Smith because its right up the street from my house and asked the sales guy if they had any WRXs on the way and he said no. Thats it no we can order one, no we can check around for one, just no. So while i was there they also had two used cars on the lot which I had a semi-legit interest in and asked if i could take them for a test drive. To which he replied im the only one on the lot right now and i dont have time for that.

He may have made a small mistake considering i ended up buying an STi. After that i decided to not use them for service either. I use mastro for service as their hours are more convienent and they have a service driver.

And i actually had the opposite at Fitz while looking for my car...i went inside and said i wanted to test drive a car they tossed me the keys and let me go for a spin. Brought it back in and shot the $hit with the sales manager and went about my way.
