Polishing
Picked up a used exhaust few weeks ago, it's in great shape. I tried to polish it at home using mothers metal polish and the cylinder cone. It came out good, but there are 2-3 scratches that I want removed that someone who polishes should be bale to do.
Do you know or recommend anyone who can polish my exhaust and make it look new? Please send some info my way need to get this done soon. Thnx! Cee

Try your local trade high school. Most likely way cheaper, may take a little longer though.

Because they expect to be spoon fed instead of utilizing the resources available?
NASIOC is a wealth of information. Even Loyale93, hell, even I have helped people resolved issues. There are plenty of people who are happy with the forum. The only people who dislike NASIOC are plain lazy. |

NASIOC is a wealth of information. But it's not that difficult to do a google search for a metal shop that can do polishes and buffs. If you want to stay in the automotive world, go look up a body shop, maybe.
Last I checked there wasn't a plethora of Exhaust Polishing Shops. Or even one. You have to think slightly outside the box to "who buffs metal? Body shops! Can I do a simple search for a body shop and pick up the phone to make a few calls? No!... I mean, Yes!!" There have been cases in the past 2 weeks where people are asking a question that has been asked literally, and I literally mean the word literally, within the previous 24 hours and is still on the first page. (Lowell Mechanic threads, I'm looking at you). If people don't learn to help themselves a little bit, they're going to end up broke and living with their parents at the age of 40 asking mom and dad how to make Mac&Cheese. They can't afford a place of their own, but you bet your ass they'll still be driving a tweaked Subaru. Won't have a clue what's in it or how to drive it, mind you... Vision and I just try to help the process a little. Tough love. Quote:

I rarely post on nasioc. Occasional for sale thread, other than that I just troll an read to gain knowledge but even I have to agree with vision.dynamix an loayale93. Between nasioc, google, bing and others the Internet is a wealth of knowledge were one can find literally anything with little effort. Hell I saw a YouTube video the other day with a Middle Aged woman explaining what the best state is for welfare ad how to best exploit the food stamps and ebt and rip off the system. 'MURICA!
So instead of expecting to be spoon fed just do a search quick |

I would just buy a polishing kit and a high speed end grinder and do it your self.
