Default My ETX20L Battery Install: Lost 15 lbs...

I hope this thread doesn't get closed...come on guys, it's only a battery.

Anyway, here's a picture of my AGM "Big Crank" Deka ETX20L $72.98 battery with shipping (one size up from the 11.6 lb ETX14L) from BatteryMart.com:

17.5 Ah @ 10hr rate
270 CCA

The silver covering is some leftover self-adhesive foil backed foam duct insulation I wrapped around the battery to help deflect some of the underhood heat (batteries HATE heat). Using the stock plastic battery tray, a 0.99 cent brace from a hardware store, and a 8" universal battery hold down kit ($5.00) from Advance Auto, I was able to mount this 15.5 pound battery in the stock location...shaving about 15 lbs off the front of the car (stock battery weighed 30.5 lbs). I had to monkey with the wires a little bit so it would fit, but no cutting was required. The SAE connectors were leftover from my old PC680 I used to run in my mach 1.
