Exclamation Just watched BestMotoring Video of New WRX

I received my December 2000 issue of the BestMotoring videos yesterday which features the new WRX NB 247hp. I guess I'll tell you how it did against the new Alteza (Lexus), Sylvia, Lancer TM edition, WRX STI type RA, Accord euro R, and B4 wagon.

The NB 5speed consistently got 14.1 in the QM. and beat the Accord, Alteza, and Sylvia badly.

On the track. The NB appeared to do really well holding it's own in front of the Lancer and STI each 280hp. The Sylvia was kicking butt and leading the whole way. Eventually the STI took the NB and shocked me because it was about to take the Lancer. The NB came in 4th place which was expected since it was not as powerful as the other cars. It looked good around the track.

They also tested the new STI version in Germany. It definitely handles much better. There is a special video coming out that is all about the New WRX and should feature all the models.

Was that the S15 Sylvia, the one with 250hp turbo engine?

Yes. It was the new Sylvia with 250hp and it got spanked by the heavier 247hp WRX. AWD is a huge advantage. I am going to digitize the drag clips so you all can see this.

I recently watched (I think) Nov. issue.
911 turbo and F-360 Modena were in the video.
Boy, 911 turbo is nice. It is all wheel drive too. But, I still like F-360.
