Default performance upgrade

Was wondering if anyone has done a computer upgrade for their Legacy. We have a 01 Legacy 2.5 GT and would like to do some upgrades for more power. How much power should I expect to gain? Will I need to upgrade more parts to compensate the extra power form computer upgrade? Would a clold air intake, exaust, and a header be the way to go instead? Thanks in advance.

The search button truly is your friend.

however, there really isn't a lot as far as "computers" for your car. Thera are some, but you really would need to have all of the other parts you listed on the car first.

Ways to increase power:

exhaust (headers, hi-flow cat, catback)
intake (jury is out on what is the best)
lightweight pulley
new cams
new heads/port and polish
lightweight flywheel
ProECM chip (not sure how effective this is)
there are a couple of "computer" options. Check out Rallitek.net

There is extensive info on all of the above options in both this forum as well as the N/A forum.

There is also the "Torque Tech II" chip. Don't know how well that is. But any questions PM, i've done a number to my legacy.
