Default 02 GT rearward vision issues...

I just got back from a long road trip in my GT and I've got a HUGE beef with the outside mirrors on my car. I've owned 6 cars in my life and I've never had an issue like this before and I think I may even put a call into SOA about it as I think its pretty dangerous.

My trip was from Northeast PA to Dayton, Ohio yesterday through snow and such. I guess water spray curls around the mirror housing causing the mirror to get wet. Now this normally wouldn't be a problem under normal rain conditions, but because there was salt on the road, my mirrors would get road film all over them making it impossible to see anything out of them. Now, maybe I'm being anal, but I think that poses a potential safety issue with not being able to see down the side of the car without completely taking your eyes off the road. I've said before I think the mirrors on my car are too small and was wondering if it would be possible to slap a set of Outback mirrors on as they are larger. Does anyone here happen to have an Outback that would be able to tell me if the same thing happens with those mirrors as well?

The other problem I have is with the intermittant wiper interval of the rear wiper. Is there any way to shorten the time span between wipes or to possibly rig it so it is constantly on?

Thanks for listening to my rant.

Install the factory rear spoiler. At hiway speeds I never use the rear wiper! Use Rain-X on the rear glass and mirrors it helps. jim

I already have the rear spoiler, which one do you have? Mine doesn't help for jack! I'll try the rain-x on the mirrors and rear glass though. I never thought of that, thanks.
