Dang that's going to be fun street setup, I love those turbo's.

I'm getting a custom v-band in/out setup with a G30-770.

I知 such a noob when it comes to turbos for our cars. FWIR, sounds like a promising turbo for sure. How much power are you looking to make?

Is there a big difference in the STI trans vs WRX trans in the 2015+?
Those are some healthy numbers. I知 hoping to breach 500whp on E85. Expectations is 525, and 450-ish on 93oct.

Supposedly the WRX 6 speed is just the old 5 speed with a sixth gear, but I think it's more than that. Might be more similar to the 6 speed that was in the Late-Gen Legacy GT's before they were axed. But they're definitely not the same transmission; I think the individual gears are smaller in diameter vs. the STI's?

Arent the new WRXs also cable shifted as opposed to whatever the GRs were?

Better question is, the 5 speed WRXes weren't cable shifted?

But yeah, I think the 6 speeds are. Either way, I know full well they aren't the same trans as the STIs in any way

The 2015+ WRX are cable shifted and the internal gears are not as robust as the STI 6 speed linkage shifted tranny.

Very informative! Thank you for the video link. Definitely cleared up the differences between the WRX vs STI transmission.

I don't really come on NASIOC too much. But when I do, you are the first thread I visit.

I want to let you know that I absolutely still admire your car. You are the reason why I copped my own ZE40 and copied the cellphone mount (down to the exact instruction on where to cut, etc).

You have great taste man! Hope my STi will one day be similar to you in term of quality.
