Default Best place to eat at the U Village?

Alright this is very random, but I am going to be at the UW Hospital tomorrow for a heart check up. My mom and I will be there from 11 until prolly 4 so we are trying to find a good place to eat at the U Village. I have eaten at the Johnny Rockets there, which is good but I wanna try something different. We will be there between 1- 2:15 so if you are in the the area let me know and maybe we can meet up for lunch.

U-Village sucks and is overpriced. I'd head over to Hawaiian BBQ up on 50th and University Way personally, or Thai Tom's (also on the Ave). However, if you're stuck on U-Vill and don't care too much about price, I'd go to either Blue C, or Piatti.

Johnny Rockets is probably the worst place to eat....there are some nice places up 25th from the mall including the new Mamma Melinas

Pam's went in just as I was graduating, never got a chance to try their food. How is it?

Favorite U-district restaurant: Agua Verde on the waterfront. Small distance form U-Village itself, but worth it.

I hate Boom noodle – but only because they are HORRIBLE at paying vendor invoices, including those from my company. So I refuse to give them money.

David stole the words out of my mouth. Agua Verde FTW! Plus it's closer to UWMC than U Village is.

If you like Thai, Djans is right on the other side of I-5 on 45th. That's a personal fav of mine.

World Wraps for me at U Village.

If you want vegan Thai--great food at good price; it's closer than U Village...on 45th near 12th. Araya's.

Varlamo's is just east of UW for football-sized calzones and pretty good pasta and pizza too!

Schultzy's on The Ave FTW.

I tend to avoid U-Village if I can, but if all else fails, you can probably find something decent at The Ram.

I used to work just a few blocks from Agua Verde and unfortunately I always thought of them as being overpriced and just not that great. That was a few years ago though, so maybe things have changed since then.

Are they the best mexican food in the area? No. But certainly the best in the U-District area. I've only been during happy hour, so price was never a huge problem.

Best Mexican = La Carte De Oaxaca or one of the El Camion taco trucks.

Memo's 24 hour place on The Ave now is my favorite Mexican in the U-District...cheap and tasty, but definitely not the best. Works great for late night eats though. La Carta de Oaxaca FTMFW!

Yeah dude! They're DEFINITELY cheap, but their carne asada burritos and crispy tacos really aren't bad at all, not to mention their nachos and quesadillas are pretty good. It's the only 24-hour Mexican place that I know of in the Seattle area, and it's good enough to remind me of some of my favorites in the San Diego area whenever I go visit my brother.

I’ve found nothing in Seattle that can compare to the taquerias back in California, but El Camion comes close with their soft tacos.

My favorite, from my home town: http://www.yelp.com/biz/chavez-marke...JdruiZYM6avItg **drool**

Best place in the village? I'd say World Wraps.
