Yeah, you can ski/snowboard the "Sherbie" (Sherburne Ski Trail) all the way down if there's enough snow. No snow shoes are needed for the hike up. It's a packed down "highway" like trail. Wear light hiking shoes or boots, then swap over to sb boots in the bowl. Some people use crampons.

I'm hitting Cannon on Tuesday and Sugarbush on Wednesday. First time at both mountains. Staying in Montpelier Tuesday night. Should be a good time, can't wait!

Rained all day at Cannon today. There was maybe 30 people total riding. Ended up spending a good portion of the day at the bar lol.

Weather is looking better for sugarbush tomorrow

Default BANKED SLALOM THIS FRIDAY 15th NH

This friday there is a banked slalom up in danbury new hampshire at RAGGED mt. Entry fee is $30 which includes the ticket for the day. Sponsors include ROME snowboards, PBR, Grenade gloves and others. It's going to be a killer time and the sun is going to be out all day. Cruise on up.

That sounds awesome, and I really like Ragged. 15 years ago I would have been all over this.

Ragged has great glades and the fact that with the 6 pack, you can get 15 runs in on a half day ticket. They have done really well this year with snow, I hope to get there one more time before the end of the year.

I was in UT this past weekend, we skied 3 days, 1 each at
Snowbasin
Powder
Brighton

All were great but the best time was had a Brighton because of the 6" of snow they received the night before. Powder Mtn would prob be my favorite of the 3 if conditions were equal with its 7k acres of skiable terrain. Didn't take many pictures, too busy having fun but here are a few from the first day at SB.

Respect on the Ak jacket. Been wearing one or another version of them for years now. It goes without saying all of us talking about skiing/riding the bEast Coast are a little jealous of 6in of fresh powder!

Pretty happy with it, I had been looking for a Gore-Tex shell for awhile, found this at the Burton outlet in Wrentham for 50% off

1-2' is awesome but 6" is plenty to have fun with and not get tired out as quickly. I am up to 7 powder days this year I think which is 6 more then last year.

^The Burton AK is a serious jacket. 50% awesome. I recently picked up a Marmot Cervino for $270 and have been extremely happy with it. Gore FTW.

I've seen plenty of moose, but never while alpine skiing. This was taken at Mount Sutton in Quebec.

Normally I wouldn't have ridden in that weather. But the trip was already planned ahead of tome so we just went anyway.

No rain today at sugarbush. But the rain from the day before killed a lot of trails as well as the glades. All the non groomed trails were VERY icey. Park was closed as well. Mountain seems like it would be great with better conditions. I plan to hit it next year.

Unless we get another big storm, today was probably my last day out for the year.

Funny that you would say "unless we get another big storm...with 12"-18" predicted for VT/NH, on Tuesday.

Way to make me jealous of boarding back home while I'm here at Whistler.

They got a few inches last night that was closer to 10" at altitude. Some more predicted for tues/wed. Can't wait.

Oh well, a day of powder skiing is always worth a day off from school. Funny thing is my mom is skiing in Austria right now and she said it's been 50 degrees with springlike conditions. Quote from her email: "The heavy snow has been tough on my 70-year-old legs, but after a few beers in town tonight I'll be all set for tomorrow."

If you see a guy in orange pants and a blue jacket, that's me! I'm going with a few snowboard buddies, but I'll be skiing. I'll be driving my obnoxiously loud forester too! (one of these days I'll get around to re-installing the bolt that fell off my exhaust ).

Killington Today (Tuesday) had HUGE amounts of fresh snow. 8+ inches. Amazing untouched tree runs and groomers all day long. Worth a trip.

Epic day at Snow today, at least a foot and we were on the third chair of the day. So many untracked runs, conditions were great until early afternoon when it was pretty played out and choppy. I love March in VT.
