His company does drug test, but only shop employees. The office workers don't get tested unless there is an incident or ? I think there is just to much risk involved in owing a weapon and doing any type of drug or alcohol. legal or not.

Have you tried shooting it without a brake? I don't think there's a brake available that doesn't direct gas/blast out the sides of the device. Kind of the nature of the beast.

Box wrench is all you need

Not torque to spec, not a head bolt!

The muzzle device needs to be timed correctly

Oh okay. I knew that it had to be timed, but I thought I read somewhere it needed to be torqued down on the correct timing mark.

Wow, after reading what I just wrote it makes no sense.

thanks!

shot the firepig this morning

it helped with the noise but the muzzle rise is back

i was still able to hit the 200yd gong without issue - but it took a second or two to get back on target.

at least with the firepig everyone still has their teeth and no fake boobs burst as a result

anyone have a battlecomp on their AK?

or

how about a battlecomp on their SBR
?

The rifle is just going to be obnoxious either way. I think i'd just run a slant break on it.

Cross post from the TXIC gun thread:

Final (for now) config for my DPMS AP4 308. Recent changes were Magpul ACS Light (with thicker butt plate) stock, Big Chubby muzzle break and AR 10 shorty AR-Restor recoil buffer. Also on are Viking Tactical sling, EOTech 552XR308 holographic with dust cover and magnified with EOTech G23 3x magnifier with flip to side mount. Also, a Timney 670 AR 10 single stage trigger and 2nd gen KNS hammer and trigger pins, UTG rail covers, Magpul AFG2 grip, BCM AR10 large latch charging handle (digs like a bitch into your chest when you have the sling tight) and EBRv2 (extended bolt release, AR 15 part worked for me). Finishing it up is a Magpul DPMS compatible mag and a dust cover that says "Zombie Hunter" on it (a real PITA to change out as the barrel has to come off for it). It now has about the same recoil as a 223, which is a nice change Still heavy as a MF though

Hey guys, I'm working on a handout to give to places that don't allow firearms. I want to keep it kinda short. I have enough room to add maybe 2 lines on a standard sheet. Improvement suggestions? I want the attitude to be generally nice, not **** off, I'm going to Walmart.

Please give this to your manager.
You have a sign on your entrance that prohibits the carrying of firearms on your property. Out of respect for your wishes, I have abided by the sign and left my gun in my car. Here's why I think you should take the sign down:
1. If someone is going to commit a crime on your premises, the sign won't stop them. It only stops lawful citizens.
2. If someone is carrying a firearm, the police can stop them at any time and verify that they are not a criminal. Someone having a firearm in open view means they are probably not a criminal.
3. Many avid shooters will see the sign and take their money elsewhere.

4. Someone is going to break into my car in the parking lot, steal my gun and come in and rob us all. Since they know we are all unarmed!
Find out what the response times are for the local police and include that.
Add the Stats on people carrying into places and not having a problem vs. having a problem vs. being robbed.. Just keep Walmart out of the numbers. lol

Might I offer a compromise?

Rather than an all or nothing solution you might want to propose to the establishments an alternative, such as "No open carry permitted".

Does this forgo the ability to open-carry? Certainly it does, however it does not mean you need to be dis-armed, rather it reduces your signature.

Just a thought....
