Default yeah so CATS sucK! They should all die

Just becasue.
Dogs are so much better.

I'm entertaining ideas on why cats are better than dogs.
So far, from my previous cat hating threads, I have heard the following as reasons why cats are better:
1. they are cleaner
2. they are more independent
3. they are "smarter" and "choose to ignore you. (I don't know how that makes them better, but cat owners love that one)
4. my cat is "like a dog" (this again, doesn't work.

neways, my reponse to that is:
1. How does that make them a better companion?
Pet = companion = dog
Cat = pet rock that is soft and cute, it doesn't care about u.

BRING IT

Cats suxor. They barely interact.

Dogs are friendly by nature, it's in their social structure. Look at wolves vs cats in the wild.

I'm insanely allergic to cats, but also agree with these reasons.

If I want to go away throw a pile of food in front of cat, place bucket of water next to cat and clean litter box...see you in a few days kitty!

Dog = dead and buried in a pile of it's own crap.

Dog = annoying beast that takes up half the damn bed and won't leave me alone for 2 seconds when I come home..."Go away you stupid beast!!"

Cat = "Hey what's up Kitty? I'll see you around later..."

SG: sounds like you don't want a pet.

Maybe you'd be happier with just a poster that has a picture of a cat or dog on it.

Dogs require minimal effort. We walk ours twice a day for a few minutes, feed him once every few days (takes a while for him to eat) and he sleeps downstairs.

No I don't mind having a pet. But no I don't want a child either (see my other posts about that one). A dog to me is a slightly challenged child. They can be very smart and cute and they are very loyal...but you must be with them and pay attention to them non-stop!

All the cat's I've had have been pretty interactive. If you play with or pay attention to them early on they become very affectionet(sp?). but you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to let them out, you don't have to chase after them with a plastic bag on your had picking up their crap, you can leave them for a day or so without them thinking you've abandoned them for good.

I like pets but on the level of attention and care a cats like a 3-4 and a dog is like a 7-9. I don't want or need 7-9.

PS, cats can curl up nicely on your lap or next to you on the couch. If you have a dog that can do that...it's too small to be a real dog, you bought a rat.

Bleh? How the **** can people say cats are cleaner? Everyone I know that has a cat has that god-awful "thick air" smell everywhere in their house, all of their furniture is coated in a nice sheet of a hair/saliva mixture. Cats bring random dead things into the house (who gives a **** if that is just their nature... that is gross), and they get all up on everything... including eating areas. Even if I weren't deathly allergic to them, I would still hate them.

And SG... you need to get out more. Although I love playing with my dog, I don't feel the need to at all. I don't believe she feels the least bit sleighted by it either. And if you are having to wake up in order to let your pet out, you need to figure out what you are doing wrong. I let my dog out when I first wake up, and again right before I go to bed...whenever that is. No problems here... or with anyone I personally know that has a dog, unless they are old and/or sick... the dog I mean.

Most cat owners also seem to think it's okay to let their cat out of the house, on other people's property, to crap on their yard and be a general nuisance. Cats are useless. Dogs can do tricks, guard your home, and love their owners. Cats could give two craps about anything as long as they can eat and sleep. Dogs > (Cats * eleventy billion).

It depends on what you consider "companionship." If you consider companionship to be your roommate who cleans up after him/herself, doesn't eat much, doesn't make noise, and can do his/her own thing without getting clingy and annoying yet can hang out with you every night to chill and watch TV or play video games, then a cat is right for you.

If you consider companionship to be your roommate who is so clingy yet moronically loving the s/he worships the ground you walk on, wants to spend every waking moment with you, has lots of energy and likes to play around a lot, yet still knows how to chill out every night and watch TV or play video games, then a dog is right for you. I had both growing up and liked cats better because they were less work. Now that I'm older and more active I kinda want a dog of my own. Stupid lease agreement and 12 hour days!

This is what I say...and all of my cats have been affectionate for my taste. They don't need to be walked, it takes a couple of minutes for them to be potty trained if done right, they are self cleaning and very low maintenance....

CATS RULE!

P.S....if you want something in your grill all day and that=companionship. Get a dog.
