Default Remove cats, but leave mufflers..(stock exhaust)

Louder... I actually don't know. But you could always put a silencer on it.

i had a racing pipe in and some twe headers for a while, you can really hardly hear any difference at all...the headers obviously made it sound a little different (which i didnt like and took them off eventually) but all in all, it is still quiet...i had the track pipe, headers and management and i could definitely feel good gains...when i would make pulls through the powerband, it definitely pulled through a lot harder and i found that i was bouncing off redline because of the gains...

so yes, i recommend doing this, i didnt have a cel either...

all in all, do it, quiet, no cel, good gains.

what are your current mods etc?

i mean with stock exhaust i dont see why you would do it, but there should be some gains i ibelive but gets all restricted anyway when ti runs through the rest of the exhaust

Well, not to mention, if you don't care about passing inspections (I assume you're over the federal 50k limit to get rid of the cats?) If you're going with this setup for a purely track car, then I assume loudness wouldn't really matter. Idk, I'd just go with a high flow cat to be in compliance with laws and inspections. You won't see noticable gains between a high flow cat and a a straight track pipe. If you'll be running a stock exhaust, without cats, that'd mean some type of fabrication would be required. You'd need some type of simple custom job made to connect from the headers to the stock cat-back system.

May I ask where you are going with this? And why use the stock exhaust?

^that law only works with the states

so only after 50k miles and then they state allowing your car to be catless it can be, not when oyu hit 50k you can just rip them out and be legal

Yup, my bad. I didn't mean rip em out. I meant a replacement for high flow cats instead of the stock cats @ 50k on the odometer.
