i brought my daughter to a playground and a guy with an older impreza seen my car and started asking me the usual questions, what i had done, is it fast? blah, blah, blah. he wanted to do a turbo swap to his. i ended up popping my hood and he asked me if i had a short block or a long block. i was like, huh? i told him no, this is a complete engine. i politely shut my hood and walked away shaking my head. he's supposedly a mechanic too.

him-so what do you drive?
me- an sti sedan
him-what a waste of money should have gotten a wrx
me- and you say this why?
him- they are faster for cheaper(he then tried to tell me that an sti has the same drivetrain as a wrx..5speed and all)

at this point it was a lost cause, and i was just having a blast talking to this retard. i brought up the fact that i'm saving up for coilovers. he goes, don't waste your money just cut the springs. it's the same thing.

as soon as i he told me that brilliant advice i asked what he drives... and *drumroll please*

he drives and i quote exactly what he said "i'm in a crx, it's sleeper i'll walk all over your sti." so i asked what he has done. he said that he already cut his springs and just put in a catback and an intake an is waiting for his racing seats to come in i made a point to never sit next to this moron again
Just out of curiosity...is soviet Russia anywhere near my town? Because that sounds just like someone I know and I hope to god there isn't another person like him.

He told me about how he's building his CRX that will walk all over any Subaru. Though he did put that project on hold when he found out he had to replace the fuel pump. He said that it was too much effort and he was probably just going to sell the car instead of doing all the work to put in a replacement pump.

I was delivering parts to a local garage for work the other day when the mechanic spotted my STI keychain. He asked me what it was and when I told him that I drive an STI. He asked me if that was a Honda, I'll never bring my car there.

A few years back when I had my wrx in class a guy who was on auburn's formula SAE team was talkin with me. When I told him what I drove I told him and what I had done. He then responded with " oh so your put a turbo on it" refused to believe it was factory and said only sti's came factory turbo'ed.

4'6" tall lady I work with startled me today with a remote engine starter on her 450 extending/king whatever monster cab beast truck, that just happens to put the reverse lights on while I was backing in. I slowed down and she gave me the "that sounds nice, oh, and it's so cute! That's a really cute car!" I almost rolled up the window, but she's always nice so the polite, "oh, thanks, hehe" reply was given. Damn it... cute car >:I

I was at school On my lunch break as I was walking to my car (03 wrx) I saw some dudes hanging around an integra one of them told me nice car and the other said my car sits behind gsr's I thought he was kidding but it turns out he was very serious. It was really funny and aggravating. Another time I was in class and some kid asked what kind of car do I drive and I told him a wrx he said what? I said Subaru and then he said oh and turned away! Fml lol!

Wife: Why'd you spend 150$ for a shifter knob (and bushings) you already had.
Me: Why don't you take it to work tomorrow, it's to hard to describe the difference.
next day...
Me: how was the drive?
Wife: that was a lot more fun getting on to the highway.

Reminds me of that short fat masculine lady from Kicking and Screaming with the Hummer, and proceeds to passively insult Will Ferrell and his Prius.

True story that just happened minutes ago. A buddy and me went to Auto Zone to see if they had a gasket for a bov. We get there and the guy(who is also the manager)asks us what he can do for us. We ask him if he has a gasket for a bov and he says what's the car. We say 02 wrx and with a straight face he says what's that?! Me and my friend just look at each other and laugh thinking he was joking. Well he wasn't so we said Subaru and after a 10 second pause he said is that a bike, suv, truck? I dot think we will be going to that Auto Zone anymore

I won't be tailgating the guy in the 2nd video. That's for sure. But I sure would love some rear facing horns every once in a while. Hope you can hear okay while you're riding my bumper.

I went to a subie dealer today to pick up some new belts. As I walk in I ask a group of dealers staring out the window at my car if the parts department is still open. I was told yeah and then one asked what the hell was on my roof. "Its a roof vent" I awnsered back. The three of them looked puzzled, I got "a what?" back. Its a Spec C roof vent its factory lol as I walked off to the parts department.... I explained it better to them on the way out. It was a good laugh at the end of the day.
