It still looks like the side of the car is too dark. I just read your post in Armin's thread, so that might be the problem. You can barely see the side body line. I always tend to do the same angles as well. Once you find something you like you kind of tend to stick with it. there are only so many angles that work well with car shots unless you want to throw in some "weird" composition that cuts off parts of the car.

What browser are you using? It seems like it either an issue with Chrome or with SmugMug resizing. But the photos look so much better in IE, Firefox or Photoshop so I think it must be Chrome. Or maybe a combo of two things.

I'm currently using Chrome as well. I use Flickr though.

I just looked at them side by side. They look the same to me. The only thing I noticed was that in IE the photos weren't as sharp? Is that possible?

I heard it was worth saving for the IS version.

I've used both briefly and the IS wasn't worth it for me just because I'll being using a tripod with it 9/10 times.

I would like the f/2.8II. Then I would never have to buy another zoom again.

That thing is quite heavy. I remember the first time I picked it up.
If the brembo sale doesn't work out, looks like I'll be getting new glass. |
