That draft doesn't sound too terrible. markman makes the best the point. Last year I ended up losing by 3 pts in the championship game (Winner had Gurley AND A. Brown FML). My number one ****ing pick last year was Mike 'The Bust" Evans.

My golden goose was picking up Kamara on hunch somewhere in week 3 and, riding the Wentz/Watson hype train as long possible, the Jags D (which I got off waivers early in the season), and picking up random dudes for match ups all year.

The guy in my league last year that drafted David Johnson and Mark Ingram dropped him right before AP got traded to the Cardinals. I scooped him up immediately. That was definitely my best move of the season. Needless to say, that guy did not do well for the season.

Ingram was like one of 2 guys I kept all year.

The guy who drafted Johnson in our league never recovered after his injury.

I mean I disagree, the guy is an athletic freak and has a ton of upside... but for me, before I am getting him, I am making sure I am in good shape elsewhere and not relying on to be one of my top 3-4 guys. That ultimately means, I won't have him in any league because because I simply think he's being taken too high.

He's played 40 games. 4 of those games were NFL record games which had never previously seen and very likely will never see again (until they start playing flag football)... and all 4 of them were consecutive. In those 4 games he had something insane like 36 catches, 776 yards and 5 td.

Taking that one month stretch out, his numbers are pretty pedestrian. In his 36 other games of his career, he is averaging something like 4 catches, 64 yards and .26 tds. That extrapolates out to 64 grabs, 1000 yards and 4 tds a year. Literally 20% of career receptions, 25% of his career yards and 33% of his career touchdowns occurred in a 1 month stretch in 2013.

Now I think if he has another full season and gets in the rhythm again, he exceeds those numbers but I'm not sure it's by much. I'm not ready to spend a 3rd, or even a 4th round pick on him.

Do you even remember which QBs Gordon has had throughout any of his stretches? I'd be willing to bet none of them are even in the league now, nevermind even being a back up somewhere.

I'm not suggesting JG will be A. Brown tier out the gate, but I don't see him being some mediocre player either.

Does Gordon have a good QB throwing to him now?

In Tyrod's 3 years as a starting QB in Buffalo his leading WRs in terms of yards were:

2015 - Sammy Watkins - 1050 yards
2016 - Robert Woods - 600 Yards
2015 - Woods - 500 yards
2017 - Clay - 500 yards

If Baker takes over that's a bit of an unknown, though I would assume the WRs will do better... but it's not like Tyrod has exactly put up incredible numbers. And his WRs haven't exactly done much.

I just don't buy the Josh Gordon hype.

#1 pick in a 1 pt PPR 10 team league.

I'm thinking of grabbing Gurley but obviously Bell is a contender also. Who would you go with?

Flip a coin.

Although, Gurley's just had the one really stand out year...Brown has been a beast for many years....

That's what I figured. I was going to say that Gurley being younger might help him but he's only 2 years younger at 24 vs 26. I don't think it will make much difference.

Yeah, I think the only thing that could hold either back is injuries. You're good either way.

So you've briefly glanced at the stat lines and have never watched film on him ever. Got it.

Jets sign Chandrick West. Might be a good pick up in the later rounds

Given I lived in Ohio until 2016 and follow both Ohio teams closely, I'm willing to bet I've watched more of his games than you have

I have one later today - I had to focus on only one league - as it really impacted me.

it's a tough league - 2006. Switched to a 2 keeper 4 years ago.

We do a reverse double snake draft.

Bidding in FA.

10 teams, 16 person rosters.

Dual QB (flex spot) start 6 weeks in the regular season, none in the post.

Anyone know of any reputable leagues with anymore space?

I'm relatively new to Fantasy (played 3 seasons) and am looking to get into another league with a relatively low entry fee (less than $50)

First live draft of the season last night. 12 teams, no-PPR. Starters are QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX (RB/WR/TE), DEF, K. Pick #6. The number in parenthesis is the round where I selected that player. I think it went pretty well... think I got a bit lucky landing Newton in the 8th round, though probably should get a decent backup given the way he plays. Obviously sacrificed on TE, but everyone was reaching higher than I was willing to go for TEs all night, so I just waited and was the last one to take a TE. Thoughts?

Cam Newton (8)
Alvin Kamara (1)
Devonta Freeman (2)
Jay Ajayi (4)
Rex Burkhead (7)
Sony Michel (10)
Doug Baldwin (3)
Josh Gordon (5)
Golden Tate (6)
Randall Cobb (9)
Devante Parker (11)
Tyler Eifert (13)
Stephen Gostowski (12)
LA Chargers D/ST (14)

Newton was so inconsistent last year, it was frustrating. I had a rotation of Newton/Wentz/Watson going for awhile. Newton spent most of the time on the bench until the other two got injuries.

That said, that's a pretty good roster. Edit: surprised Eifert dropped so low. Wow.

11 TEs went in first 9 rounds, so I basically decided my last 3 rounds would be TE, K, DEF, since no one else needed a TE. Was going to take Njoku, but he ended up going in the 10th round as a backup, so Eifert was the fall back, and waited as long as possible to grab him (and stocked up on RB/WRs).

Got my draft on Friday for our PPR league. Basically every mock draft I've done has me getting Antonio Brown at pick #4, but we have a couple new people in the league this year ahead of me so I'm not really sure how it will go down for a change.
