When the road straightens up, they have to mash the pedal to the floor to show you. They pass me and I’m just laughing at ‘em. “Ok JackWagon F stick. You’re the champ!” This is why I laughed at Rodman. Bone stock vehicle vs. extremely well modded, and highway pulls? No corners? Who gives a F! You could teach a Chimp to go fast in a straight line. The skill is all in the corners. But what I see on the road here…Chad and Karen can only go fast in a straight line. They park it in a corner. I look over and think wow, that’s a unibody, and you’ve got power, so WTF?

Cannot stand people who use full size pickup trucks as commuter vehicles. None of these idiots know how to park either. Always over the line, taking up two spots, etc.
Every truck I’ve owned has been maxed the **** out towing or hauling. I guess when you have an $80,000 emotional support payment/vehicle people will use them as they please - which is driving to the grocery store or mall. |

Ran a brand new Ionic on my IS300 earlier, dude wouldn’t let me merge on, he punched it well behind me. It was very even but I was surprised the ionic actually moved ahead as we got deeper into top end.
IS300 got stage 1 flashed tonight. Sent from my iPhone using NASIOC |

2022 Subaru WRX Official Announcement *Merged*

Eh hmm, my car is more than 20 years older than the GRC, a lowly 2L junkyard engine from 2006 running a basic stage 2 setup. Stock turbo, stock injectors, stock exhaust manifold, ancient 16bit ecu. Yup, it’s tuned but it’s probably a 280is whp setup. That my old pieced together wrx can outrun the newest bad boy on the block in a straight line is fun. Sadly I was on my way to work, not lapping a dream track. Don’t worry, I’ll let you know when I come across a tuned GRC. I actually like the GRC, wish the engine had a better sound, sounds like **** but beautiful otherwise. Sent from my iPhone using NASIOC Last edited by D-Rodman; 06-19-2024 at 11:54 PM. |

It’s not about lapping some dream track. Highway pulls, lmao, ok Dom. 1/4 mile at a time. GRC was built for cornering. If highway pulls are your jam, A V8 challenger would be the better choice. So many trims. I like the i3, it’s half a V6 and has a lumpy throttle that sounds fantastic. Infinitely better in sound, feel, and the lack of intertia torque that i4’s are burdened with. But at the same point if you hate it, that’s cool too. It’s not like we have this infinite amount of choice in this space. I don’t need to know about highway pull anything. Holler at me when it’s around some corners. Straight line acceleration, go buy a suit, helmet, armored gloves and boots, and buy a literbike. They’ve been 2+ second vehicles to 60mph and 10 sec 1/4’s for 20+ years. One of mine, when the gearing was stock, would do 90 mph in 1st gear. Even then, it’s still all about the corners. Highway pulls to me are about like bragging that you just went through the drive thru and bought a Happy Meal at McDeez. |

So every time you have OWNED a truck you did not leave your driveway without the bed overflowing with stuff and the overload springs maxed out. All the time. You have never seen the bed of your truck empty. Not even when you bought it! You brought **** with you to fill it up so you can justify the purchase on the way home damn-it. I bet you even kept it full when you sold it, just so at no time it was not maxed the hell out. Listen you drive a sedan now. Right, why are you so wasteful. Why are the other 3 seats and trunk empty at any time ever!! You should pick up Homeless on your way to work and drop them off so you never have an empty seat taking up space not filled. When I drive my wifes sedan, I make sure I throw everything in my closet in all the seats so I can max that beeyoch out and not drive around with all that unused space. The argument you posed is as absurd as my response. |

Everyone knows if you have a truck then you also have more friends and family than you can possibly deal with, along with their crap.

Trucks are silly daily commuter vehicles for a majority of the people who own them... They're great for hauling, and actually pretty decent road trip vehicles even if you're not hauling. But the overall size does make them inconvenient unless you live in strip-mall land. Everyone who I know who owns a truck either has it for image (they work in the sales/design side of the construction industry and want that clout when they pull up to site), or their truck is an extra vehicle that's only really used when they need a truck.
Occasionally you get the home owner who tries to justify their purchase for home reno work, and then I LMAO when I watch them try to load a bunch of 12' lumber into their truck and strap it down, while I toss it into my highlander, close the back and drive home. Trucks are niche use vehicles that have become status symbols for a large demographic in this country. Last edited by dwf137; 06-20-2024 at 03:41 PM. |

^people who commute in full size pickup trucks. They should be called hiccup trucks because you’d have to be drunk to buy one for anything other than towing or hauling multi-ton loads. |

I went years without a truck while maintaining a 2200 square foot house and several acres myself with an economy car as my only vehicle. Not once did I actually “need” a pickup truck to keep up the house or land. Buncha hillbillies/superiority complex individuals who need to “flex” while sitting in traffic is what it boils down to when it comes to any modern full-size pickup truck. |

People resort to these sort of insults when they hear/read something that makes them look in the mirror or review their own behavior. Meh, reality stings, and the truth can be a Karambit to an artery. Is what it is. I happen to be as straight as an arrow so no thanks to his comment. But to the LBGTQ+ (sorry don’t know the extra letters that have been added) community here, happy Pride Month.

^ Meh, I can live with that.
Pissed? Hardly... outrage is and anger are nearly useless emotions. I tend to stay away from them. Bad decisions come from outrage and anger. I know where he was coming from, thanks for attempting to translate, but really not needed. I already said my response was as absurd as his, so thanks for playing. |

It has nothing to do with what brand of car, or whatever. It's doing highway pulls, GTFO of here with that. It's one thing to do it. It's another thing to come on here and brag about it. Highway pulls and stop light racing, on public streets? I mean your friend, out in the sticks, completely away from traffic, cool. But bragging doing highway pulls with a well modded vs. stock car? What are you, 17 years old? Use some common sense. |
