I'm down for an old school meet. We can reminisce about the glory days and complain about "kids these days".

Lol I remember when I had a Subaru sans turbo... Because it wasn't an option for usdm. Miss that legacy. I wonder if I could rally up some of the old members for a meet...

I wave at people all the time. Then they don't wave back and then I feel silly. My fiancee thinks it's retarded, but i still do it. I've resorted to turning on my map lights at night due to tints.

I think in some ways the wrx has become a civic. It's become more affordable. So now you have people in the community that are young and have no clue or simply don't care. They don't understand what the subaru community is about. The GR'S often won't wave. The 15+ is a hit and miss.

...I only drive my GD (bug eye) one day a weekend for only about 2 hours and get at least 2 waves and multiple thumbs up from all cars (not just subies)..
The force is strong in my area...

Honestly the fact that people do wave at all is amazing, and really rare for a car community. People in Nissan's don't wave to one another, and I would consider the brand to have a larger cult following.

In this car community, someone with a GR will wave to a guy in a GC coupe and get a peace sign back. That is actually pretty remarkable. Speaking from experience, someone in a G35 would never wave at a guy in a 350z, even though they're essentially the same car.

My wife laughs every time I wave. It happens all to naturally now. I was running this week and saw a hatch drive by and I waved while I was running. It took me a second to remember that they probably won't wave back if I'm not in my car.

Sometimes I forget i'm driving my fiance's car and I wave. They probably wonder why a dude in a BMW is waving at them.
