I can't imagine an a** pancake would taste good, but to each his own.

I've still never made it there. The reviews are mixed, so I held back, but... if you say so. What do you recommend? Otherwise, I'll have to ask for "the good a** s***" .. dunno how well that'll go down.

PS did anyone catch me ice skating around IL this afternoon? STi's on stock tires have no business being on roads with one snowflake, haha. Kills me... I need snow tires.

You are lucky to still be here. I didn't trust the stock tires when it was dry and around freezing.

Nothing like a good set of winter tires to make it feel safe (it was funny seeing all the fwd cars springing and going no where fast)

The '11 is an enormous improvement upon the '05 (tire-wise) but still horrible. Luckily, I made it home before it got REALLY bad, but I kept wondering if I'd have to get off 90, park it at a 711, and walk the rest of the way.

My '04 WRX (way back in the day..) had incredible traction. My test-drive was the day of a huge storm, and it was a beast. I wish I could remember what tires it had. I'm assuming they weren't stock because those have pretty poor reviews online, but they weren't one of the brands/models you always hear about (e.g. Blizzaks). They were stupidly good, though.

Yesterday around 2 or 3 pm around Addison and Harlem a white STI sedan, wingless, blue wheels and obnoxiously loud exhaust.

This is my first time with winter tires and I find them to be good.

Would of sucked if you had to walk home in this weather. I can only imagine how hard it would be not only walking in this mess but trying to avoid the drivers out there.
