Nice vid! But..is this a track day? Not a race day? Seem to be a lot of risky overtaking (ie in a corner, the outside of a corner..no point bys). Or is this from a advanced run group?

What kind of a track day allows overtaking in corners?

Why are you using the music that "Body Pump" aerobics uses?

Yeah! That's some "WRX" he's driving.

Every time I watch the vid it gets to Andrew exiting the carousel and then freezes.

i'm not gonna lie, there's been pretty hairy moments out there at the track... but for the most parts all passes are done under control....

and what your watching is group 3, towards the end of the day where there's pretty much open passing anywhere... a driver can designated no passing on corners...

its is pretty crazy... that's why i keep going back!

Sounds like fun.

Here's something that's not fun: My first time at a track, so I'm in the beginner group. The advanced group has full on professional racecars who basically want test miles. The last beginner run group of the day they let the advanced dudes in. Imagine being a newb and allova sudden a pack of racecars come at you following VERY close wanting to pass at all opporutnies...agneuneognwigne :P

Seems like a "normal" day at a NASA HPDE event to me.........

NASA is somewhat infamous for having a "no blood no foul" approach to monitoring their participant's antics. Most know this going in, and some revel in it. Basically, if you are concerned about your car coming out unscathed, you are better off running with better monitored groups who stress keeping it within your limits and come down hard on those under the influence of the red mist. I now only participate it NASA events that are strictly HPDE events, and these tend to be a bit better monitored. NASA is what it is.

Awesome video.
