Default 2007 STi Limited Vs. Non Limited

Ok, may be a DUMB question, but I was always told there is no such thing as a dumb question sooo...

What is the MAJOR difference between the Limited Edition STi and the non Limited? I know Leather, but why would I NOT buy a limited. I actually like leather.

Aesthetics. That is it. No performance differences. Personal preference I suppose.

Not too bad of price there. Do you have a mechanic you trust to have it inspected?

Its Denver, I hear there is a Builder there. I plan to take to him. Clean carfax, no mods except for simple drop in Inake filter and 1 owner. "some old guy" lol you know the drill, lololol

Everything I know to be different is the rear wing, the wheels, the brembos are black instead of gold, the sunroof, the center console is black instead of silver, the leather interior, the authentic v-limited lip comes stock on the front, and there is much more sound deading material throughout the car to make it more "comfortable" and less rugged like all the other STi's...

There may be something a little different in the struts/springs as well to add to the whole "comfort" factor but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Basically as previously stated, its all asthetics, whereas the performance is most likely worse than other sti's b/c of all the added stuff (sunroof and sound deading material mostly).

hope this helps! I know there is something i'm missing..

The other differences is the dash plastic is similar to the S204, red hazard button, and they only made 800 limited's in 07. 400 in Pearl white and 400 Gray metallic.

And the car you're looking at in the link in this thread is missing the front lip.

The front seats are heated.

The suspension is the same as non Limiteds.

I'd love a Pearl White limited. It's the only STi for that gen to not have any 'boy-racer' parts on it.

the limited is a nice cross between legacy luxury and sti power... its a bit more toned down so you can drive it to a business meeting... i honestly do not see the point of buying the limited... if you want something that doesnt look like an sti, you should buy a legacy 2.5 turbo... its a nice DD with power

Unless you want an STI that's a sleeper with a nicer interior and accessories. Then you should buy an STI LTD and not a Legacy GT.

The MSRP was the same for the Limited as the normal STI in 2007. They partially offset the cost of the additions with cheaper wheels. Part of my motivation for buying one is I think the depreciation will be slightly better than a normal model. That and I didn't want a blue interior, big wing, and gold brakes.

The leather seats are a factory option that can be had for 300 or so, the heaters are less than a few hundred dollars, the console is $300, the brakes can be powder coated for cheap... it just doesnt add up other than the fact that its a "limited"

You have a limited that you bought because it was a sleeper but you still wanted sti factory options... brakes, power, etc... this is the only reason I could see a limited being bought... but you could have bought a normal one, saved the $$ and been just as happy imo.

Congrats on the limited they are definitely nice

Sounds exactly what the dealer I found the STI Limited I am picking up Monday said Except mine is in New Orleans and I know it is truly in fact a 67 year old lawyer as the dealer is a friend of his and gave me his number to give him a call and ask about the car. Only 18k miles, no mods, been babied and got him down to $25,000. My only concern is I have heard so many things about the 07 STI's engine going bad. I will be getting Stage 2 shortly after. Which even on a regular STI that sounds like a steal...
