Default Car clinic and show at Mike Shaw

I was sent this e-mail from Mike Shaw Subaru. Sounds like it might be a good time. 5% to 15% off parts can't hurt.

Wayne

Here is the information we discused.

MIKE SHAW SUBARU
SATURDAY APRIL 26

MIKE SHAW SUBARU is having a customer appreciation / car clinic day. We will be doing free inspections and estimates. There will be free food and refreshments throughout the day. If you are concerned about the oil leak that is growing in the drive way or that noise you only here when you turn left while going over a bump. This would be the perfect time to have it checked out while you enjoy the free lunch. We are also looking for about 20 examples of customer cars in various stages of modifications. We will be having a small car show to explain the differences in each car and let the attendees vote for their favorite. The winner will receive a gift certificate for $250.00 to apply towards any future parts or accessory purchase. Anyone interested in participating please RSVP with Subaru Parts by the 18th of April. Subaru Parts will be offering several discounts and show specials including 5%-10%-15% off various performance parts.

Thank you.

Haven't we had reports of them not being mod friendly?

Yeah, I'm gonna bring my car there.

:edit: Just called the guy in charge of this and he has said that they will be mod friendly and they also sell a lot of performance parts on their site. I'll be there on Saturday.

Maybe when they first opened. I purchased my up and down pipe and Greddy cat back and intake from them. They gave me help on installation also. They have many performance parts in stock.

Maybe..... just maybe they are doing this so when the "moded" folks show up for the food, Mike Shaw will "take notice" off all the cars so next time when you come in for "warrenty work" on your "stock suby" they will decline you.....

If they do that, we'll all go to Flatirons and they won't have any business.

I just wish we had a decent dealer in Denver instead of an hour away up north.

This won't be happining. Don't worry about it, the people there are very nice. What can I say, I have two favorite dealers in the area, Mike Shaw just happens to be closer.

Anyway, the whole thing starts at 8 and goes to 3. It is a customer appriciation day, so it is not like the Flatirons deal that was pretty much a car show. They are doing free inspections and what not I believe. So it'll be a mix of blue haired old ladies and us damn kids in our loud cars.

If you want to participate in the show RSVP on their site. Go to www.flat4engineering.com and click on forums. When you get to the forum look for the section called "Shows, Meets, Races, Etc." click on that and then look for the thread about the meet. Details are in there.

I was talking to Joe today and let him know I would post these details. More free food and loud cars, I dig it!

Why would you not want to go. A chance to meet more Subaru owners and get ideas on whats next for your car. They have a pretty good selection of performance parts on hand and can order almost anything you want.

I took this from their "forums" page and yes it is a car show with inspection for maintenance / warranty concerns...

"If you are concerned about the oil leak that is growing in the driveway or that noise you only hear when you turn left while going over a bump, this would be the perfect opportunity to have it inspected while you enjoy a free lunch. We are also looking for about 20 examples of modified customer cars in various stages of modification. We will be having a small car show, customers attending the event will be voting for their favorite modified vehice. The winner will receive a gift certificate worth $250.00 (to be applied towards any future parts or accessory purchase). Sounds like good odds to us (20-25 to 1). Anyone interested in participating (in just the car show), please RSVP with Subaru Parts by the 18th of April to receive the required forms."

I won't be there since I'll be working but say "hi" to Joe Cox - Mike Shaw Parts Extraordinaire and his dad Joel Cox (PDM Turbos) for me.
