Default SOooooo after a random google, I find...myself?

Da fudge.
Spokeo has me dead to nuts. Current address, previous addresses, family (wife, mom, sister).

Usually when you just google my name, there's a fella who was/is some musician so the first few pages are his stuff. Then there are enough people who have my name that I blend in on most sites. But if you've known me in the past 25 years, that site has me locked.

Imma be honest: Didn't think stuff was that easy (obviously, you can find stuff if you dig...but for $1 you can see a ton about me). Wondering if any of you see the same thing, or if my digital footprints are way bigger than I thought.

CN: It's Wedneday, 4pm, and I don't want to do ****.

Yup. Creeped me right out
Current addy with a google map image of it (that's free)
So for free, you can easily find my house in ~.1 seconds. No hard searching, nothing more than my name.

This is one of the benefits of having an extremely common name.

I tried the shortened form of my name, the one I usually go by. 8 "person" results. 4 are me, but all incorrect in some form. 4 are not me.

One thing they did get right is that 100% of people with my name are Asian. (but they also thought that 100% of people are in their 40s--nope, 0% are married--nope.)

This.

It's the same **** that all the other 'lookup' sites have, except for the house location, that's new.

Yeah, doesn't link me to anyone in my family, just ex in-laws.

No. My name is almost as common as John Smith so I guess I'm lucky in that respect. My co-worker on the other hand has a very unique name and I googled him for fun and got his home address pretty easily.

It's really weird that you picked a name at random and it was actually your name.

There were almost 8k hits, but 1 in my city. I didn't pay for the results. Maybe later.

Google images has my youtube profile picture in the second line of results and nothing else. The picture is basically a shadow profile, you can't even see my face.

Search results brings up only my company page for the realty company I work for, which is mostly blank as well.

I'm pretty much a ghost.

Got a few of my coworkers to check and they had everything out there. Did not expect that but they don't have common names.

My obituary....yah, that sounds ok, my escapades thwarting police efforts to capture me over many days as I kill people.....I was shot in a gunfight with police....My name with the wrong middle initial matching a bank account where they screwed up my middle initial....my wife's name associated (her name mis spelled). Yah....I'm not worried.

Wow, spokeo is a bit creepy. I typed in my name and originally I went through the entire page and none of it was me. Then I clicked on the Texas filter on the left and there the very first hit was me. Interesting that it even lists my ex-step-father as a relative there.

Common name, nothing anywhere near the top, until I add my city.

Then it shows me with my middle name, and wifes name, and my linkedin is on the first page.

Lovely.

A quick scan made it sound like the answer is no.
