Default My cars

Hey guys been lurking on the forums for awhile . Never owned a Subaru till recently. Thought I would share my cars now That I'm an official Subaru owner . First though my baby is a evo 8. Don't hate me! Tuned by Jeff Evans Evans. 338 who 350 tq

[

Have some volk te37 saga and hks suspension waiting for next spring

I then bought a 2017 limited wrx for a dd which I traded in after a 6 months of ownership. Sorry to all the wrx owners but this car was really boring

I traded the wrx for a 2018 sti .

Added a borla exhaust to it. And man does it sound bad ass. I'm thinking of doing the cobb stage 1 and being done with it since she's my dd

What was boring about the WRX over the STI? I really went back and forth on my 18 wrx over an STI. But went with a 18 WRX with Recaros as the happy median. I had an 06 STI back in the day, and although the motor was updated I really had a hard time buying a new 2018 STI that still had basically the same motor as my 06. I'm also an evo fan. I've owed Tarmac and RR Evo 8's and a GG Evo X. I've always chose the Evo over the STI except one time, haha. But when I drove the new WRX, I thought it felt great. The torque on the STI was nice, but after reviewing tunes/bolt ons I went with the WRX. Still kind of want an STI just because though...

From my experience and what I wanted the sti fit the bill more. If I was gona mod this car heavy I would've stayed with the wrx. The wrx with the updated motor and from the dynos I seen they seem to make more power than an sti mod for mod. I'm just planning on a stage 1 for my sti with a pro tune. The wrx packs an awesome punch down low but in stock form the car seemed to fizzled out after 4.5k rpms. It just seemed really de tuned from the factory. I could feel the ecu constantly reducing timing. Both are great cars but the sti just comes with more awesome performance stuff. The new brembos stop on a dime. This is also my 1st sti so the motor to you I can understand why it could be a turn off. But me being new I love the grumble . The thing sounds so damn mean. The borla exhaust and the STI engine is by far the best sounding car I've ever owned.

Adding the downpipe makes it stage 2, stock airbox or aftermarket.

That's what I thought . I have an intake, dp, exhaust , and a full intercooler kit for this setup. If figured its somewhat of a stage 2+ set up

Thumbs up Imho...

...it is great when a thread starts with HP and torque specs.

Nice collection and obvious 'build acumen' sir.

The gains on your car are looking good for the modifications you did. I was looking at doing something similar to my car so it is good to see proven numbers. thanks for posting.
