Default Odd noise at idle

My 2004 WRX started making an odd noise at idle. Hard to describe the noise but itís pretty clear in the video. Only makes the noise when itís fully warmed up, no noise on cold starts. Canít hear anything driving or revving it in neutral, only at idle. I can only hear anything inside the car. If I pop the hood and poke around the car sounds fine and the same as it has for the last few years. From inside the car it sounds like itís coming from the passenger side firewall area. Car has has an exhaust intake and tune but no other engine mods. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If it helps anyone, it ended up being my cold air intake rubbing on the fender. Odd noise that was very audible in the car but hard to hear in the engine bay. A mechanics stethascope helped me diagnose.

Thanks for posting this - and the resolution.

I had/have a very strange ticking/knocking noise that is extremely intermittent that I immediately assumed was rod knock. Still hoping it's just something loose "grounding out" against the chassis somewhere, as it doesn't seem to get louder as the car is warmer, but definitely appears to be pretty random.
Engine performance seems to be unaffected...
Time for me to literally to start poking around!
