if ya think its the wheel bearing or wanna do a quick lil simple check you can jack the car up and then grab the tire at 12 and 6 and just try and see if it budges when you push and pull at those top and bottom points, no movement chances are its fine but if it doessss move thats prolly the culprit...... but still if the brakepad isnt ever really leaving contact with the rotor the dust could prolly do that too, specially with the bit of moisture weve been having laitly, the dust would build on the wheel/tire and then fling onto the car like it is.

That could be it! and if your brakes were incorrectly replaced and or there wasn't any grease applied in the necessary areas, or the shims could have been incorrectly installed. i had the same squeak. it was the brakes.

Default brake pad shims 2005 wrx

hey I was changing the brake pads on my wrx 2005. I bought aftermarket Wagner pads.These do not come with additional shims. The oem pads on the car have two shims that are not attached to the pad backing support.

Do I throw these away and just go without added shims?
