I dont know how strong baja trannys hold up, but as long as u don't bang gears And don't make a serious amount of torque, you'll be fine. My 02 Wrx is still hanging in. 110,000 miles, launched a **** load of times, banged gears. And Wrxs have the glass tranny. Nice granny shifts and you'll be cool. I usually do WOT pulls and while shifting, I shift as in I'm casually driving. I'm careful with 1st-2nd, But that 3rd and 4th gear... Lol, I feel like I'll break my shifter.. BANGIN GEARS FOR DAYS SON! Yes I know, I'm An idiot

OK, i hadn't really thought of more fuel. Thanks

I have a 2005 white sti. Im making a lame 250awhp right now My goal is to hit 330-350awhp.

My current mods are "custom" headers, full cobb exhaust with HKS muffler, cobb intake, and teinflex coil overs. I do not have a custom tune because the person i bought it from never had it tuned.

The performance shop I'm getting all of my work done at is a place called Dyno Comp in Scottsdale AZ. Im sure most of you in the SWIC have heard of this shop. They told me if i got a cobb AP and a retune they should easily be able to squeeze out at least 270awhp with the set up i have now.

Well this tuesday I'm getting some maintenance done and I'm also getting a Cobb AcessPort finally and my TGV's deleted! With the TGV's deleted on top of a retune with my current mods I'm hoping to get close to 280awhp. But well see.

So after these mods I'm not quite sure which direction to go next in order to reach my goals of 330-350whp. Im planning on switching to e85 but idk if that will get me all the way to 350awhp and i would like to do a couple of ore engine mods to get me there. Im sure ill probably have to get an aftermarket turbo. I would like to stay with a stock location turbo and stay top mount intercooler if at all possible.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks
-Austin

1. HP at the WHEELS (whp) or hp at the CRANK (chp)?

350 to 380whp

2. What type of dyno are you going to be shooting for this number on?

Mustang

3. If possible, tell us what shop it is. Someone may know how high or low that particular dyno reads.

No idea...Someone tell me a good shop on the west coast of FL.

4. Where do you live? If not a well known city, what is the elevation?

Clearwater, FL...sea level...

5. What kind of gas will you be using? (octane level)

93 only

6. Are you opposed to a FMIC? (this way we dont recommend one if you dont want it, or we DO recommend it if you DO want it and it would be beneficial to your setup/goals) (sp?)

I'd run FMIC if need be.....
Somebody in the KNOW please tell me what I need to safely and easily make 350-380awhp from my '13 STI...thank you

GT3076, injectors, fp, fmic, ebcs, tbe

Whether that's going to be "safe" or not no one can tell you.

At that rate, you'll also want some forged pistons. Or not, depending on your definition of "safe".

As a blanket answer, ask your tuner. Not trying to be rude, it's just that tuners all have their own preferences.

Depends on what you want to do for fuel. E85 your going to have to go with a larger fp (400lph) and injectors (1300+cc) vs pump gas (1000cc inj and a 255lph fp). I'd stick with ID or FIC injectors. FMIC is up to you (Peerin, turbo xs, full race, not sure if Cobb makes one or not), but buy quality, don't go eBay.

Pistos are up to you too. I'm not really versed on pistons. Research it, ask a couple different tuner shops.

Ask Dyno Comp what they recommend. Something in a 20gxt, Dom 2.5-3.5, stock location gt3076 etc should get you there. Not sure how high you guys are in altitude, but I'd definitely recommend going one size larger than you think. Trying to get power with altitude is a bitch. I'm talking without out outrageous correction factors here (1.3 on some dynos in CO is insane). Also, your going to spend as much money on a quality tmic as you would on a quality fmic and it will hold you back a little. A fmic is really the way to go.

What's up guys. Bout to get my dyno tune here in about a week and just wondering what kind of numbers you think I'll put down. Dynojet, 91 octane, 2013 WRX with the following mods:

TMIC
CAI
TBE (catless)
EBCS
BPV
heat shield
Turbo blanket

We're at about 1000 feet elevation and my tuner said he's shooting for about 17psi. What you guys think? Will I be able to hit 300whp with those mods? Maybe I'm optimistic...lol

300 is within reach might have to go to 18 or 19 psi but it should be obtainable

Stock map on '13 WRX. What a HORRIBLE factory map. Though numbers weren't bad.
