05 Subaru Legacy gt limited piston slap
I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT and I have start up piston slap and whenever I have rev over 3000 to 3500 RPMs the slap sound is there what should I do what can I do to stop the slap

If it's actually piston slap, nothing you can really do. Piston slap should go away when the car's warm. If it doesn't, you're probably shopping for a new motor.
Posting a video of the sound would be helpful. |

For a start don't rev it over 3k when cold!
How many miles on the engine? if its only when cold and goes away once warm and as long as theres no excessive blow by in the pistons then just let it warm up first then drive, or drive gently till warm. Piston slap on well worn or old engines is not unusual on these engines |
